Anistasia Backstory Plot Hole?

I'm only at episode 4 and it's been a long while since i read the manga but,

Anastasia says her clan has been enslaved since the war and that she's a descendant of merlin who was still a baby at that time so does she just mean she's from the same clan or perhaps she's talking about a later war and if so how would anyone know that since merlin likely wouldn't know having been raised by Ephtal instead of her biological family. Even if that is overlooked merlin is just allowing her descendants to be enslaved without doing anything about it? Her power and status should easily be able to prevent such things.

She's distantly related, I don't think she's a direct descendant, and her family's defeat came after the time of the Four Emperors I think.

there would be a chance that after Merlin's parents death the other family members (Siblings of Merlin's Parents) Grow and their descendant is Anastasia and maybe the war they lose happen after Eftal's Death or Even if it happened before his Death Merlin maybe a Survivor and She Escape from being a Slave

If her family heritage and social status protected her from generational abuse we would have had no reason to see her butt and crest on multiple occasions. I for one am grateful for her family’s downfall.

As far as I'm concerned, the slave brand itself is a plot hole—it seems like it's supposed to be forbidden, but that isn't really made clear.

I was bogged with similar question, until the close-up shots on her butt slave crest & sideboobs peeking from her slave cloth reminded me that i'm enduring this cheap & ridiculous show for its fanservice, not for its plot
