| What is it with the young workers at the store liking older people? xD First we got Yamada gunning for Sasaki (so much that hates even Obata sharing him), now we got Obata after Gotou. You can see why though as I have trouble ranking best girl between Yamada and Gotou. It does seem late in the season to finally introduce us to the last character from the OP, but luckily it was paced out well that it didn't drag this sub-plot out into another episode. With 2 episodes left I wonder what point of the manga we'll reach. Hopefully there will be an eventual season 2 if there's still lot of material. Wonderfully simple cosy series :3 |

| Yeah I'm also one of the ones that missed the Yamada/Tayama x Sasaki interactions so hopefully the new guy and the manager won't take up too much screentime in the remaining episodes. For the short amount of time that we saw Yamada and Sasaki it was pretty wholesome with Sasaki telling her that Tayama is the only one he wants to smoke with, well said. |

| We doing anything not to progress the romance for the 2 leads, huh. It seems the author has a thing for dense shy guys with no personality outside of "being nice". Which is fine of course - just not my vibe. I still enjoy the show, because the female cast is fun, but damn, I think the only male character I find interesting is Sasaki's colleague (Suzuki). And considering that he has had barely 10 minutes of total screen time across the whole season, that's crazy. |

| Meh. We get a second male character, and he's just Sasaki again but young and even more of a nervous wreck. (Sasaki's co-worker doesn't really count, he's barely a character) Obata is just uninteresting, unbelievable and annoying. Honestly I just want more of Sasaki and Tayama hanging out and chatting about things, feels like we've still only scratched the surface of that premise. |
I swear i wish sasaki could read whats going on in yamadas mind, lol the amount of nicknames she has for him lol Also love how she was proud of him as well but for real sasaki is such a support and wholesome figure for obata. Speaking of which we have new character and a potential couple/ship with our delightful manager oono and employee obata. Obata is a pure sweetheart and so caring as well and ngl his feelings for manager san are so legit. He has observed all of her sides for so long but he also reminds me of a younger sasaki with his antics and getting flustered. Also falling for a baddie like her and getting close to her can be such a daunting task cause in his eyes and most of the other supermarket people shes a perfect idol. So seeing her soft side and having her open up about her personal stuff is such a good start for him.  "You are plenty" that line delivery was so good and it must be music to Obata's ears. So happy for the guy. A serious baddie with a sweet goof ball has always been one of my favorite tropes and looking forward to see it. Great episode |

| This anime didn't need to have one more pussy guy in it, Sasaki-san was more than enough. I get he is an exaggerated comedic stock character, but sadly of the irritating type, which only good for dragging down a story, whenever it is forced into it. |

| That was awful. As far as I'm concerned, what they did there was take the single most tedious and cringey and unpleasant part of the entire series - Sasaki's recurring bouts of hysterical, panic-stricken servileness - and introduce another character literally made up of nothing but that. Obata is so cringey and so annoying that, for me at least, he's entirely unwatchable. I had to skip through to the end of the first half, hoping that he wouldn't be in the second half, then skip that when he was. God I hope he doesn't appear again. I was mostly enjoying this, since the rest of it generally managed to make up for how hard Sasaki made me cringe when he went into yet another blithering panic, but Obata's going to ruin that, since there's no way that any amount of TaYamada awesomeness is going to be able to make up for both Sasaki's part-time cringiness and Obata's full-time extra-strength cringiness. |

| holy hell that was guy was a character, that guy needs A VACATION! Tayama as a Greek goddess Tayama radiating heavenly light and our guy claiming he's going through menopause... somehow I don't doubt it LOL finishing her sad manga LOL well I'm glad the odd couple are happy together ^_^ |
| A lot of funny moments in this episode, but the one that made me legit lol was reading the "blah, blah, chatter, chatter" subtitles for Obata's catastrophic imagination. I didn't remember the second half of this episode so I decided to check back on the manga and it turns out it's anime only content. It was nice giving Obata a bit of time to develop his character now that he is introduced. Wish they made him a little less over-the-top though. Yamada getting jealous of Sasaki hanging out with Obata was cute to watch too. Although, I question why the translation changed from "midlife crisis" to "andropause"... It's crazy to think we will be roughly halfway caught up to the manga by the end of this season. |
