So Makoto going to America huh. Well honestly CC definetly needs her as his manager ngl.

Overall still decent season even if it wasn't as good as the first for me. 7/10.

Main good points is getting some stuff like Eraserhead backstory that I think would've been nice to have in main story, Midnight getting more screen time, and then CC probably who started as asshole product basically american hero then turned into an actually true hero. He's not all might, but Captain Celeberity isn't too bad either.

So I wonder if they end this way, does it mean no more seasons? Is this the final end? or will there be potentially more one day?

Also Knuckleduster is alive right?

Bro, how come quirkless Knuckleduster isn't getting blown to pieces with those close-range explosions? Biggest display of plot armor ever.

So... Makoto is going to live in the US from now on, huh? Well, guess that explains why she never once appeared during the main series. I assumed she was gonna die at some point but this outcome is okay too.

Weird timeskip, btw. Are you telling me nothing relevant happened in those two years? No new attack from AFO's villains? No Knuckleduster reuniting with Kouichi and Pop? No confession from Pop? Okay.

Overall, definitely weaker than the first season. Storytelling didn't feel that focused this time around, Number 6 as main villain of the season was remarkably inferior to both Queen Bee and Stain and lastly, Knuckleduster leaving the main trio heavily affected the relevance Kouichi and Pop had in the story. This said, I still had a good time while watching and some episodes were undeniably great but yeah... just not as engaging anymore.

Cool fight between Knuckle and O-Clock, other than that, everything just kind of wrapped up. Strange timeskip though, especially if there's more story to tell. After all that happened, it's weird to think nothing notable happened in those two years. No mention of Knuckle during that time. So I can't tell if he's dead or if he's just pretending to be dead. It's too bad considering he only just started to repair his relationship with his daughter.

At least Koichi is being respected by the community. Although, this episode solidified just how wishy-washy and plain Koichi is. It feels like he has no real goal, but instead has the vague desire to help people. Usually someone wants to become a hero if that's their desire. But for him, he's just kind of there, and I think it hurts his character. I'd like some development between him and Pop at least, clearly her feelings have been weighing heavier on her mind as the story progresses.

Not as impressed as the first season, which had better pacing, a bigger focus on the main trio, and just better structure. The awkward addition of the Aizawa arc didn't help any, and backseating one of the main three characters wasn't the best choice. For now, a 7, may go town to a 6 after I sit on it for a bit.

Not sure why so many people are so down on this season, I thought it was a great continuation! Looking forward to seeing the final part of the manga adapted sometime within 2 years.

This season finale was lovely. I felt that it closed the chapter on this cour perfectly, leaving us on a happy (if a little bittersweet) note.

Since I only read the first few volumes of the manga, I have no idea whether there's more material to adapt, but Koichi's last words felt pretty final. Is it maybe just his last season, but not the show's final season? Kazuho's future still seems uncertain, so she might become the main character for the next (and final?) season.

Looks like there might not be another season, despite plenty of loose ends left dangling. Was that genetically modified speedster the first prototype project before Shigaraki Tomura? And what happened to Knuckleduster / Iwao Oguro?
I rated season 1 with 8/10, but I'll rate this 7/10, largely due to Knuckleduster going AWOL.
It was a bad idea to split him from the other two.

The sky egg arc has wrapped up and so has the season. It was nice seeing these characters again, learning more about No. 6's motivations, and getting that backstory on Knuckleduster.

No. 6 getting the last of his maintenance done on him with All For One planning to move to the next stages is an ominous place to leave things. I hope MHA Vigilantes gets announced for another season!

Also I wonder what happened to Knuckleduster?

So Christopher Skyline along with his wife Pamela and Makoto are going to the U.S. and I’m assuming the second person that Christopher is thankful to is Koichi, but he didn’t draw attention to him since that would mean the police likely arresting him, but for some reason, nobody told him, so he assumed that Christopher was talking about Toshinori, somebody he met ONE TIME THIS ENTIRE SERIES.

And we learn that Knuckleduster, or O’Clock’s actual name was Iwao Oguro and he was 45 years old. It seems that he’s dead, and I’m wondering if this was really worth leaving his hospitalized wife and daughter behind. Was this really his fight? Couldn’t he entrust this to All Might, the Symbol of Peace?

Well anyways, 2 years later and The Crawler is in action, AND PEOPLE ACTUALLY KNOW HIS NAME NOW! It seems he’s a much better fighter and can casually dodge giants with his eyes closed, rather than the Koichi who would freak out and not do nearly as much before.

There’s something bittersweet to this though. He’s on to his last hoodie and after than, The Crawler is done.

And apparently Number Six isn’t done. So either Vigilantes is done or there will be a final season showing the new stage that All For One and Kyudai Garaki have planned involving Six…

That was a nice end to the arc. I hope Knuckleduster is okay. I am still waiting for it to be "great" because so far it is still very solid.

I had to change this because some loser couldn't make an actual argument. So....yeah I hope you guys like the new sig.

I love "You can be a hero", great freaking song.

That said the season was a step down. It was missing the team dynamic of Crawler, Pop and Batman this time. BTW Batman better be alive. It was also very disjointed with the Aizawa backstory thrown in the middle of the main story.

I still liked it, but definitely did not reach those MHA heights. 7/10.

Compared to the first season this was pretty disappointing.
It felt more like an Aizawa Prequel with some filler episodes about vigilantes rather than a show ABOUT vigilantes.
I still enjoyed the season and it had some fun episodes but it just doesn't compare to the first.
Realistically a 6 but I'll give it a generous 7/10.
Season 3 better step it up.

A nice finale for MHA Vigilantes S2. Makoto will go over to the US so she will keep working with CC, the Hoppers cafe seems like it's going to be popular and as for Koichi, he's about to graduate soon? :/ Poppu surely didn't like that :P. AFO at the last scene.. things are about to go down next season 💀

How did this not immediately get picked up for Season 3? The story isn’t over, there’s still manga to adapt and it breaks a massive precedent. (I know that Season 2 was an immediate pick up but that was a planned two cour thing so not picking this up for Season 3 is just bonkers)

I eagerly anticipated this second season, not only because I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh perspective and atmosphere introduced in season one, but also because the main series of My Hero Academia was coming to an end, and I was eager for any additional content.

Despite my enjoyment of the Vigilantes, I must admit that this season missed out on its potential. Here’s my outlook:

The series abruptly shifted to a new beginning for Koichi and Pop, completely disregarding the events of the previous season. This makes sense, as they had adapted to life without Knuckle. However, we were quickly introduced to a formidable new villain with a unique quirk. The series then began to integrate Aizawa, Fatgum, and the police into a cohesive team. This was executed effectively, as we were able to witness Aizawa’s undercover side, which led to an intriguing flashback. However, as many others have pointed out, it would have been more impactful if this aspect had been incorporated into the main series because after Aizawa’s role was fulfilled it seemed to be reduced to a supporting character, and Fatgum’s presence was diminished as well. While it’s understandable that Aizawa’s story was not the main focus, they highlighted it in the middle of the season and made it one of the most important revelations, detracting from the investigation of the villain.

Next up is Knuckleduster, our MHA Batman. I believe many anticipated his return and it could have had a more profound impact on the story. I liked that when he reappeared, he visited Koichi from the shadows. However, I wish they had made it to where Koichi and Pop had actually seen Knuckle for that brief moment rather than dismissing it as a “random feeling” that Koichi saw Master. I understand Knuckle wanted to remain separated, but as many have pointed out, there was hope that they would meet again. Since this didn’t happen, his absence from the rest of the season was definitely felt. After all, Knuckle and All Might were the ones who stole the show’s hype when they appeared in and started being badasses. Hopefully, Knuckle will see the duo again..after all, he called Koichi his legacy.

Let’s also discuss the introduction of No. 6’s quirk and its connection to Knuckle. I would have appreciated more of the story from Knuckle’s perspective. Instead of this season focusing on Aizawa’s misplaced backstory, they could have used that time to explore Knuckle’s backstory, particularly his time as O’Clock, and how it led to the theft of his quirk. This would have provided a deeper understanding of Knuckle’s thought process throughout the series and explained his actions and motivations. While I was excited about his and No.6’s fight, it was a missed opportunity to delve deeper into Knuckle’s character and backstory. We still don’t have a complete understanding of his past, and this season could have been a great time to explore his challenging opponent that No.6 was watching from the television. If they had emphasized his backstory more, the build-up would have been more intense, the post-credit scene more suspenseful, and we would have been eagerly anticipating Season 3 to see what Knuckle would do next.

The season effectively provided Captain Celebrity with character development, making him more likable compared to season 1. However, it was disappointing that Captain Celebrity returned to America without even thinking that the entire Sky Egg plot was a setup to kill him. This aspect of the ending was particularly odd. Given the significant attention this incident received in the news, we didn’t witness any aftermath. The show abruptly transitioned to a finale stating, “Yes, it’s over. And Captain Celebrity flies back home. The end.” Considering the presence of all the top heroes and tens of thousands of civilians at the event, it was surprising that we didn’t see the heroes discussing the incident at a round table or the police sharing information suggesting that next season could be a pivotal one in their pursuit of this elusive villain. The show failed to reflect on this crucial moment. Hopefully, if they continue with No. 6, Koichi will discover the identity of this mysterious villain and learn that the quirk he uses belongs to his master. Currently, only Knuckle and a few police officers are aware of No. 6’s quirk and what he looks like.

That being said, the ending did leave me feeling a bit sad. While the two-year time skip didn’t physically change Koichi and Pop, it was heartwarming to see others around him appreciate him more.
Yes, Koichi and Pop weren’t the main focus; their experiences and journeys were still intertwined with the rest of the story. Throughout the season, we witnessed character development from Koichi. Pop felt as though she was sidelined, which is why she’s surprised that Koichi is contemplating moving on while she’s still stuck. Hopefully, we’ll see more growth from her in the next season.

However, as Koichi mentioned at the end, this series is about the experiences he’s had and the friends he’s made along the way. It’s never been about him since he never sought attention. With that in mind, I’m content with the explanation and understanding of the series.

At least I have one final season of Vigilantes to look forward to in the future! I’m still heartbroken that the original anime of MHA is over. I genuinely grew attached to Deku and the rest of the characters.
