Instructions unclear, cat stole the grapes from my garden and had a feast.

I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life.

Nah, it should be fine. Cats ingesting them is the only problem. Unlike lilies, where cats have even died after rubbing against them and later grooming the pollen off themselves

I was thinking of planting some at one point, but I went with irises. We only have peace lilies in the house which are not true lilies. I wonder if the Cait Sith ever encounter true lilies….

@Amun_Nefer Yes, letting cats play with a grape would be quite dangerous, If they damage it and carry it in their mouth they would probably live depending on body mass, but a single grape already contains plenty juice to be lethal.
I'd argue raisins, wine, and juice are an even bigger threat since those could spark curiosity due to not being natural objects (especially juice, one paw dip and a few licks to sample the taste of the weird looking water and its over.)
And I'll have you know depending on the cat, they do actually enjoy their veggies quite a lot. My cat won't even touch cat food anymore that isn't half veggie soup. I've yet to see a cat chow a watermelon tho.
However, salad and bread are popular with a ton of cats, (try limiting the fun to only licking with bread tho, I don't think letting them bite of chunks is great for digestion)

@harshv5094 I mean, tbh I thought the story would be about the old cat contemplating to go out on their own terms by poisioning themselves after seeing everyone one last time with that long stare at the bowl of grapes....
Guess the author didnt know they are deadly either.

@MewsicMagic ah, having watched the episode, that’s a botanical garden. When you said garden, I thought you meant like a backyard.

A botanical garden is basically a fancy academic place dedicated to growing and documenting plants. That one’s attached to the kingdom, and irl, botanical gardens are attached to nations and universities. Some even give degrees, etc.
