By the way have you ever considered trying out Brigadoon? Cause I think you would really like that one, it is one of my fave anime, it is a Studio Sunrise gem from the year 2000, impossible to define, combining a historical fiction / plotline inspired by the 1900s play Brigadoon combining that, with a Sci Fi, and also combining it with the girl x monster genre, familiar to later girl x monster stuff like Magus Bride (in fact that the Magus Bride author said in her manga she was inspired by Brigadoon and did a special thanks to the director).
Brigadoon is impossible to define, with a cutesy art style resembling a kids show, but with tons of mature and disturbing content, like even from episode 1 it has a lot of intrigue, it is a sci fi Mecha show that is set in 1969 after World War 2, the main character is an orphan, it is just a really fascinating show.

Oh yeah buddy, you are stumbling into the path of a major, major anthro anime fan heheh. I am particularly fond of anime where both humans and also anthro/sentient talking animals share one setting. There is a lot of unique ways that anime can have this. Here's some of my all time favorites! (actual spoilers are properly hidden with deeper spoiler buttons. I am just putting the entire list in spoilers to avoid cluttering your profile.)

Thank you so much! Yeah, I love stories with Anthros and humans in the same setting. I do love anthro anime in general, but in my opinion I get a particular interest when it is a society that both humans and Anthros exist in. The shared universe duo / pair of stories Hana Beastman and Kimikoe, is one of the best duos of manga I have ever seen with how they beautifully build this world where human and anthro exist.
In general I have found that shojo and Josei manga have a really great track record with these cool, anthro-appealing settings. Classics like Little Red Riding Hood Cha Cha, Magic Knight Rayearth and more, are retro shojo manga that have Anthros walking around their unique interspecies world. And in the current day we have modern shojo gems like many Precure series and Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts which also feature an awesome human and anthro shared setting, with plenty of anthro appeal (Wolfrun Smile Precure has so many fangirls. And in a recent Precure season a human and a animal fairy partner got officially married).
Speaking of awesome Shojo, did you hear that Kyoto Animation is gonna be adapting the Shojo "As the Credits Roll into the Sea"
