Well, this case is over and Captain Celebrity gets his goodbyes from the world. In the aftermath, it looks like Kouichi is looking ahead of his own future as well. He's gone through plenty this season in the role he's been in. Plus, this season helped build more into his own legacy. So yeah, a farewell and deserved episode for the season. It was a fairly interesting take on the MHA franchise imo.

I find it funny how the main series always pushed the idea that “if you don’t have a quirk, you can’t be a hero,” yet Knuckleduster shows up and fights this dude, someone using his old quirk and enhanced to handle multiple quirks, using nothing but his wits, weapons, and hofc is fists to win the fight. If there’s one thing this series carried over from season one, it’s how well it shows just how capable these vigilantes really are. After so many episodes, it’s nice to finally see people relying on Kouichi like this... though Pop might not be the happiest about it all lol. That part with her and Kouichi at the end was pretty good though. That said, it doesn’t fix how bad this season was overall. What made season one work was the chemistry between the main trio, and removing one of them really hurt the dynamic, you can feel that loss the whole time. Honestly, the only standout part of this season ended up being something tied to a character from the main series, which says a lot.

I just realized that in the All-Might era, the best possible compliment you can get is "your contribution is second only to All-Might", so good job Captain Celebrity. I'm quite sad when Kouichi is ready to graduate from a vigilante life, it's like he come to terms with himself in the two years timeskip. And I also wonder if Deku doesn't have a suitable superpower, will he be a vigilante like Kouichi? But since Kouichi is already basically a "what-if" character, it'd mean that Deku would try to be vigilante too, and just like Kouichi, there'll probably be a time when he think he's done enough and stop being a vigilante and turn to a normal life. Oh, and this is one of the moment where everyone is 100% confident that there will be a sequel even without any official announcement, when the franchise is still this strong. But I believe there'll still be an official announcement soon. So see you next season!

decent finale, not knowing Duster's fate is pretty frustrating and i wish Koichi's chara design changed a bit with the timeskip but it was still nice seeing C.C's last moments in Japan, Now for s3 i'm really hoping Duster comes back full time since the season overall wasn't bad but felt off without him Solid 6.5/10, a tad boring at it's worse but really fun when it wants to be !

Wth happened to O'Clock? Did he barely make it out alive? Wow. CC's honey flew all the way from America to see him. Understandable. Koichi's really dense, isn't he? He doesn't know what to say when people thank him lol. Can't blame him. Pop without the eye makeup really looks off. So Makoto's going with CC, huh? That's one way to write off a character. But this also eliminates the chance of any sort of future love triangle between Koichi, Pop, and Makoto again. She seemed like she was actually interested in him. Ngl, I didn't think I'd care about Captain Celebrity so much while watching Season 1. So I hope he'll eventually come back to the series. Looks like business is booming for the former villains' cat cafe. People are actually pronouncing The Crawler correctly?! That's genuinely impressive. Massive timeskip. It's actually a bit sad that Koichi is graduating from being a vigilante. But he has already achieved his dream. So he deserves a break. But Pop doesn't seem too happy about it. This felt a lot like the final episode of a series, but at the same time, it didn't. Obviously, this isn't the end. But it almost felt like an end to Koichi's journey. A 3rd season hasn't been announced yet at the time I'm writing this, but it's only a matter of time Ig. The post-credits scene already implies another season. Overall, Season 2 was a miss. It wasn't completely terrible, but it was a disappointment compared to Season 1, which felt really fresh. Season 2 barely even focused on Koichi and Pop. Like what type of arc do these two go through? Koichi just gets more confident with his new powers, and that's about it. CC goes through an entire arc, but not the main character? They also never meet Knuckleduster again who's barely even in this season even though the OP, ED, and eyecatches show them together. It's crazy. Borderline false advertising. The best part about this season was probably Aizawa's backstory (which should've been in the main series) and Captain Celebrity. Honestly, it felt like a filler arc. I hope Season 3 will be better. This is the last anime episode I've watched of the Winter 2026 season. It was a very good season of anime. The next season seems even more stacked.

S2 was a clear step down from S1 for me. S2 is all over the place in terms of storytelling, pacing and focus. It also feels quite disjointed from S1. The flashback episodes weren't bad, but completely malplaced (should've begun the season with them instead of interrupting an ongoing arc), and the season overall has way too little focus on our main trio... who I'm not even sure I can call main trio at this point, given how Pop and (especially) Knuckleduster had barely any screentime this season. Like Pop has less screentime than Makoto(!) and Knuckleduster is basically "blink and you'll miss him." The 2 year timeskip also felt really strange (2 years later and Crawler and Pop are still living as platonic friends in his little roofshed? Guess she still hasn't thanked him for saving her life when they where kids), especially since we have no ideas about Knuckledusters fate after his fight with Nr.6. Speaking of Nr.6 - easily one of the most uninteresting, boring, characterless animevillains I've seen in a long time. Completely forgetable. This entire season in a lot of ways felt like a "filler season (with some setup for S3)", where the main trio we got to learn and love in S1 got relegated to the backseat, so the mangaka could push flashbacks and focus on other characters, like Aizawa, Yamada and Captain CC. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't feel like it was something I needed or even wanted. A (weak) 7/10, and the show can thank me for it.

How did this not immediately get picked up for Season 3? The story isn’t over, there’s still manga to adapt and it breaks a massive precedent. (I know that Season 2 was an immediate pick up but that was a planned two cour thing so not picking this up for Season 3 is just bonkers)

Iwao tried his best but couldn't bring down the fake O'Clock/Number 6. Gotta appreciate Number 6's voice actor. He was absolutely amazing. A Final Goodbye to C.C and when C.C and others were really praising Koichi for the first time he wasn't paying enough attention to them except for C.C's wife lol Can't blame him though since everybody around him make him feel mediocre 😭 Did Makoto give Kazuho the signal to get together with Koichi before leaving ? I'm happy that the people of Naruhata finally calls him as Crawler. It took everyone 3 whole damn years to get that right. Glad to see that Koichi getting all the attention that he deserves. He's the local hero even though he's a vigilante. Seeing Koichi trying to settle on a quiet job doing social work made me kinda emotional especially when he took out his final All Might Hoodie and talked about graduation and the bgm was not helping. It must have struck Kazuho that she might have only a little time left with him. I hope we get season 3.

Fine season but a huge step down from Season 1. Like other comments pointed out, the first season thrived on the chemistry between the main trio and the connectio they had with the story. In this season Kouchi and Pop-Step were passive as hell protagonists, at no point where they aware that they were part of the plot to take down Captain Celebrity, and we as an audience also didn't knew such plot existes until around episode 8-9. Still pumped to see more of these characters but I hope a S3 is more focused on the trio again.

By the beginning of the season I wasn't really feeling enthusiastic with what I was watching. Not much was happening in the grand scheme of things aside from the pursuit of a mysterious unknown villain following the events of Knuckleduster's daughter. He was also nowhere to be seen and the rutinary villain of the week amidst the awakening of a new use of Koichi's power wasn't too exciting nor the beginning of the flashback arc. However, as soon as it reached the end with letting us know how certain characters came to be especially knowing what we know about the original series, the huge development of Captain Celebrity from a bombo douchebag to just someone who wanted to do good was constantly between misunderstandings, and the whole fight between Knuckleduster and the one we now know stole his quirk somehow, things drastically changed. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the resolution hoping Koichi would pull off his flight once again to save CC, Oguro would come back for a visit and Kazuho (Pop) would at least confess. Well, that didn't really happen. At least it's not like it was a bad ending at all but the deus ex machina title perfectly fit how All Might was able to solve the Sky Egg debacle so quickly. We also not know exactly what happened to Knuckleduster though I am in the belief neither party died in that clash (one we already know thanks to the post credits scene). Later on we had a 2 years timeskip with Koichi making himself more known as The Crawler in the neighbourhood aside from his humbleness that made him not mind much not being recognized publicly for what he's done. He's the embodiment of what a hero is, maybe more than what Deku was at one point. But enough, the season was a bit of a step down from last but still pretty good, I hope it continues since we haven't had an announcement yet and it's gonna be the last one with Koichi as a Vigilante, something Pop must have not expected and now fears regarding what to say to him. If it continues I'll probably watch since (again) this is what I wanted My Hero Academia to be.

Captain Celebrity should count himself lucky that Makoto is studying in America, so she can continue to help him take the first step needed to bounce back in his homeland. I do hope things work out for him and his wife and child. =) The two year time skip was interesting to see how Koichi has a cute following of fans for what he does in his neighbourhood, as was shown when the two school girls wanted a picture with him and Kazuho after he stepped in to rescue them from the pesky villains annoying them. Another thing to take note was when he mentioned about graduating from his "hero" role when he whipped out his final hoodie, which did leave Kazuho shocked. At least he's serious about making a proper living after he graduates college, so it make sense that Kazuho's time with him going around Naruhata like this will end soon. Overall, I feel that this second season felt a bit weaker in terms of storyline for the main cast, although it pulls it back with the Aizawa flashback arc, but all in all, I still enjoyed what was on offer. Hopefully there'll be a third season announced sometime down the line, as I want to see what happened to Knuckleduster after his fight against number 6 ended on a cliffhanger.

This season was generally a disappointment after season 1 was so good. For some reason, other characters became a more important focus. I like Eraser but he got more screen time than Pop Step, and Knuckle was MIA practically the entire season. It was nice to see (although briefly) many of the heroes from the main series, especially All Might when was fully powered. Captain Celebrity was OK too, but I’m actually glad he went back to America with his loli wife. And then the weird two-year timeskip at the end. Pop looks the same still dressed in her high school uniform. I guess I forgot what the age difference is between them. I thought the series was gonna wrap up right there. But apparently we’re getting S3. I like this show and I wish this season had been better. Maybe S3 will make me forget all about S2. 6/10

Calm ep No. 6 is actually insane wtf. Yup, Koichi just might be slow, lol. Im starting to see how CC be getting into these scandals. Such a quick timeskip ngl. 2 years later and nobody looks any different. Still wearing those weak ass sunglasses ig 😂 At least ppl aren't getting his name wrong anymore. Nvm, he's still embarrassingly weak asl. New work opportunities, but black fit goes hard. Looks like somebody caught #6 and knows doc as well. AFO????? 8.5/10 Vigilantes S2: 7.5/10

So there WILL be a 3rd season, right? Would suck to leave us hanging on some of the things here. The last couple episodes have been exciting, the first half of the season not so much. What really annoys me is Kouichi quitting his vigilante existence because now he's an adult and it's time for a "proper" job. Pls, dear Japan, can you just FOR ONCE not push the "your life is over once you become an adult" agenda? Pls? And sigh, can we just have a love confession already? They're both young adults in their prime, let's have Kouichi and Pop be a couple. Come on.

Bit of a weak season in comparison to the previous. Could use more Mirko, Midnight, Knuckleduster and did I say Mirko? Though I did enjoy CC character development as well as the Aizawa's flashback. That teaser character for final (i think) S3, does look interesting, so it still have a promising hook on me.

Yeah, overall, not as impressive as Season 1 & the Queen Bee storyline. Enjoyed it, but not near as much as Season 1 or To Be Hero X even when that show had heros I didn't care about. The Lack of Knuckle & Pop in a lot of Episodes hurts as everyone has said.

When it comes to the season Finale of Vigilantes Season 2, the first half of the episode was a great way to finish the Sky Egg arc, given that it's the send-off to Captain Celeberty. And his send-off was really done well. Showing that his experience in Japan (specifically the Naruhata neighborhood) had changed him as a person for the better. And seeing Makoto go off to continue as his manager in the States, I feel like that was the best thing that could have happened for the characters. As for Koichi and Pop's relationship at the end of the episode, I do think that it's heart-warming to see. Because of everything that they've gone through. This episode was great at being able to tell the start of the next story steps, without delving into much into what we'll be seeing what's going on in the next season (whenever it does get made). And I love how Koichi is graduating from being a vigilante. My thoughts on the season as a whole are that, though there were moments that weren't necessarily the best per se, it was a really good season. From the School days arc, to the character of Koichi and what his relationship with Kazuho and Knuckle Duster is (even if that's going to be explored more later), this season was good. It wasn't great, but that's more due to the arcs that needed to be adapted more than just a simple "it was too unfocused" thing IMO. Overall, 9/10 season

I took a while to enjoy this season as much as I enjoyed season 1, so much time without Knucleduster wasn't good. Still, the anime delivered great moments with Aizawa's past, CC development and one more epic moment from All Might. O'Clock also turned to be an interesting villain while being an assumed fanboy of O'Clock (hero). I also need to say the ending song grew on me after Aizawa's arc. The opening song is also great.

A bit of a chill finale after the final clash between Knuckleduster and Number 6 was over with, unfortunate that we didn’t get to see what happened to Knuckleduster tho, we only saw Number 6 in the lab at the end, so he could also be there, or somewhere else, guess we’ll know for sure if another season ever comes. As for the rest of the finale, we got to see the farewell to Captain Celebrity after he rested up in the hospital, bro just about got himself in hot stew again but thankfully Makoto bailed him out lol, and she’s apparently following him to the US too, so that’s neat, but that look she gave Pop Step before she left, was that the okay to pursue Kouichi? Perhaps. Also W Pamela, came all the way to see Captain in Japan, she may have given him a few more broken bones but it was out of love lol. And we ended on a two year time-skip, I’m usually not big on big jumps in time but at least this one wasn’t too massive, since the only differences with Kouichi is that everyone actually knows how to say “The Crawler” now, and he’s now getting a proper job as he enters the final season of his life as a vigilante, a shame he’s planning on quitting but I can understand his reasoning. As for Pop Step/Kazuho, it looks like she’s about to graduate high school, so she’s got some big life changes going on as well, but I can see her having a future in being an idol thanks to her days as a vigilante. And that was it for another season of MHA Vigilantes, it looks like the general consensus is that this season is not as good as the first. My opinion? I agree, but I don’t think this season was bad by any stretch, I also don’t think it’s because Knuckleduster was mostly absent that this season wasn’t as good, I think it’s because the Number 6 arc was a bit weaker than the Queen Bee arc in general, I won’t go into detail on that but that’s just my general thoughts comparing the arcs. However, I think this season did have some really strong content like Captain Celebrity’s development and the Aizawa flashback arc, I have no complaints there, and Sky Egg was quite the intense climax so there’s that too. OP and ED were also really good, I think I prefer Season 1’s songs slightly but these were really good follow-ups. And no Season 3 announcement yet, but I think it’ll probably come at some point, I’ll be there if/when it does.

He's finally called "The Crawler"... And he's already thinking about graduation?. This guy... Wait, did you catch that? Makoto looking back, and Pop Step reaction? Smells like war! Really good stuff for me, a guy who isn't too much into superhero stories. Let alone the My Hero Academia saga (I really don't want to watch the whole thing. I can barely keep up with what's streaming. Heck, I completed this whole season from episode 4 to this one today! That's probably why I have a headache). I did like Aizawa's and CC's flashbacks, though. Too many things open so... We'll be here on season 3, right?

Weird 2 year time skip... Just as they ended on "who was O'clock [Knuckles] fighting with" quote... like a huge cliffhanger... lol (with the gang not even knowing about what happened to Knuckles and go about their day without anymore big incidents for 2 years, well, considering they lost Makoto, who was their informant and manager for them to do big events or even fight some big villains instead of just weakling bad guys) . Also, Koichi seems to have improved on his combat sense, he can dodge normal punches now. (and become somewhat of a local hero with gang) But... he's apparently quitting being a "hero"... not even pursing an official hero license... I guess this is the author's way to somehow tie up Vigilante into the Main series as to... how the characters in Vigilante never appears or mentioned in the main series, LOL. (which we know the real issue is Vigilante is written up after the main series, so the characters weren't in the main series to began with) . And the series ends on another cliffhanger, LOL. Which might also have sorta hinted what happened to the old man... (which is he's most likely perma gone as in actual "BOOOMDED", since AFO is reviving the copycat, whereas the old man is nowhere to be seen, meaning the copycat won and old man lost) Some ppls here saw wrong thinking the one inside the tube is the old man, remember, the one with the glowing yellow lighting across face is the copycat, old man lost his power and he doesn't have the glow anymore. (AFO took old man's power and gave it to the copy cat) . Other note... Makoto hinted to Pop before she left, but it looks like Pop still haven't actually confessed to Koichi at all, while still "sorta" living together with him... Tho, not sure exactly why Pop is panicking about Koichi planning to stop his "vigilante" activites... is Pop thinking Koichi might leave her after he's done fighting villains? how did you come to this mind set? when Pop started out hanging with Koichi before the whole vigilante even started?

Fun episode, I forgot that there was a two year time jump. We're moving into what i assume Season 3 will be the next two arcs but I wonder if they're gonna try to tackle the rest of the manga in one go? They did say "the crawler final season" soooo ? Nothing's been announced yet, though, so we shall see. A pretty whatever final episode.

An excellent finale for the story. From the final confrontation between Number 6 and Knuckleduster. Complete with ethical dispute. To the epilogue with Crawler and his friends in Naruhata taking down thugs. And the homey scene of Koichi and Kazuho acting like an established couple. (What's this?! The villains ain't dead yet?)

Really surprised we went the whole season without Knuckleduster reuniting with Koichi and Pop, and with the time skip it’s now the case that they’ve been apart far longer than they were together.

No Knuckleduster body found at the implosion site, just his blood = Hope

@LaczPro19 I'd say the main MHA is worth watching (not the movies, keep as far away as you can from those). The main series is the anime with the best development of secondary characters I know of, the protagonist is someone truly worth rooting for, and the show has the most gut wrenching episode I ever saw of anything in my life in Season 3. And this is from another guy who's not really a fan of Marvel and DC, whose favourite superhero are The Powerpuff Girls :P

@Rafael2AMerlo well, after mentioning the PFGs, I'll consider it. The only villain in all this, though, is time.
©2026 LaczPro What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway). And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

The Crawler with Sentō Kunren as BGM, simply epic. I loved the post time skip section, Crawler being a vigilante for 3 years made him more popular than Deku at the end after saving the fkng world lmao. Compared to the 1st season this one felt a bit empty to me ngl, while S1 had all the focus on Koichi and his vigilante trio, this one gave way too much focus to Makoto and her brother, that's so fkng lame, also the fact we lost like 3 episodes with the Eraser Head backstory, that was so worthless I swear, WE ALREADY KNEW ALL OF THAT LOL Also, the main villain in S1 was actually interesting, unlike this speed freak that is just an edgelord for the love of the sport lmao, not even Stain was that edgy, he had a motive for being that way. This better have a 3rd season, I won't be satisfied until I see Crawler and Pop reunite with Knuckleduster, even if for one last time. Also, I would like to know what happens to Koichi, I know this is just an spin off but I can't help but wonder what this vigilante trio doing at the end of BNHA during the war on AFO/Japan destruction, di d they survive? Did they help people? Since this manga ended before the main story they could at least have mention them as a cameo or something lol, something like a reporter saying "...heroes and famous vigilantes from Naruhata are helping people evacuate...", it wasn't that hard. And Captain Celebrity, why didn't he travel to Japan to help? Star and Stripe fkng sucked, C.C. is way more appealing to see, he is an actual character. Oh, and I want to see Pop confess to Koichi too lol
Sorry if my english is bad (っ˘▽˘)っ~~~ Btw, cry about it. |

this episode was nice Nice sendoff to Captain Celebrity, and maybe Makoto? I hope she won't be actually gone for the next seasons. There was a time skip so maybe she'll be there. And look at that, I was wrong, he didn't actually die! I'm actually kind of glad. Also how has Koichi not been caught, bro is literally going around with his face out. So, I don't remember if this was ever addressed, but you can't apply for some sort of hero license? Like, Koichi's quirk is now battle capable, so he could definitely be one. Like is there no hero GED or something? Overall... yeah I have to say I'm kind of losing it with this show. I heard it was a slow burn, and yeah, it most definitely is. Both this season and s1 did have great moments but a lot of it feels inconsequential. I liked the Aizawa flashbacks, Knuckleduster moments, and the All Might glaze. Everything else was just... eh. Like, can I get Koichi actually having a REAL fight???? Like please bro. I'm waiting to see the thing that make people hype this up as much as they did. Anyway, 7/10

I thought there was enough material for a third season so I don't know what the hell this is. This was a good episode though, I liked CC's farewell and Makoto's new life. I can't believe they just killed off Knuckleduster like that but I would also be very disappointed in equal parts if he was alive cause there's no way a regular human like him can survive those explosions. Impossible. Koichi's mannerisms and tone during that interview and post discussion with Pop also had me tears. This show does have a slight nostalgic feeling sometimes. I hope we get a satisfying end/start to their romance in the last season. I know this show doesn't get that much viewership so I'm worries they might not continue it. A good finale is not enough to save it from a scathing review. 4/10
