The original Bleach ended when I was 17 years old, and I watched it when I was in my early 20s with a friend.
It was fantastic and I ended up sharing my friend's love for the series, patiently awaiting its return.
I'm now 31 years old, and although I have enjoyed the first parts of "Thousand-Year Blood War", I am starting to lose my enthusiasm in this final (?) section.
Yes, it was obvious that the final showdown with Ywach and the Quincies was going to be spread-out over these ~10 episodes, but man, it's a slog already by Episode 6.
It feels like I'm watching

Dragonball, where we have a single main fight that is drawn-out for far too long over far too many episodes, with there being an ass-pull power-up every 5 minutes from every character involved.
Ichigo is now on his 6th different Bankai/form or whatever, thanks to his training from the previous sections, which is seemingly looking like it's more powerful than his dark "Mugetsu" form he had against Aizen, which was meant to the the pinnacle of his power, but nope, he's even stronger now, but still not strong enough to really face Ywach.
Inoue heals everyone instantly like 60 times in a row, then unlocks her special power, which... nope, of course Ywach isn't affected by basically being soul-deleted. That would be too easy.
Ishida is against Haschwalth who has him on death's door 15 times, at which point Ishida pulls out his special power he'd been saving for whatever reason (when he should have been dead 3 episodes back), which is instantly countered and leaves him back on death's door, only for "plot" to happen.
Everyone else outside of this? Basically pointless fodder for Ywach and the other Quincies. All the Captains suddenly using upgraded/new versions of their Bankai which were never shown or mentioned before, because they were written into losing positions, but of course we can't have any fan-favourite characters dying here, can we?
Basically, the hype, for me, has gone at this point. We know Ichigo will ass-pull yet more power from the "plot" happening around him and the "power of friendship", with Ywach eventually being defeated. The Captains and even the weak characters like Chad/Inoue will survive, because of course they will, even if they had no business even being where they are to begin with.
Maybe it's just because it's been too damn long, and I'm much older now, but this final section of the story is just far too predictable, and again, way too drawn-out.
Also, I must mention that although the visuals of this show are indeed impressive, like others, I feel like there are way too many cuts and weird camera angles going on. It's an assault on the eyes at points, with there being barely enough time to focus or get to grips with what's actually going on.
Overall, right now, as of episode 6, this is a 6/10 and Mixed Feelings for me. It's fine. It's well voice-acted, with pretty animation, but the plot is just nonsensical at this point, and the pacing is snail speed. I'm disappointed, although maybe it's just because I'm much older now and the nostalgia isn't enough to save it.

Beryl is a middle-aged guy who believes he is past his prime, and although he does know he's physically strong and has experience with the sword, he was always defeated by his Dad, so he does have a bit of an inferiority complex.
According to many, this makes the show a flop, because the MC is "dense" and because he "doesn't get over it". I think a lot of people went into this show, thinking it was going to be another generic isekai or fantasy type with a stupidly OP MC, who ends up with a massive harem, etc, etc, you know the deal.

what this show is at all, despite certain elements that are indeed shared.
In S1, Beryl thinks he's nothing special, yet the constant praise and admiration from his ex-students, and his newcomer students in the Knights Corp, does start to turn that around, albeit slowly. Because, well, that would be something that takes time to accept, after years of being "second-rate" to his own Dad.
In S2 so-far we do see more growth from Beryl, and a bit of a spark return, especially in this week's episode (at time of review). Something is definitely being set up for EP6 or EP7, and I am looking forward to it.
Personally, this show stands out to me as someone who typically does partake in a lot of the seasonal isekai/fantasy slop. Beryl is likeable, despite his flaws, and he's shown to always put his students before himself, and is always willing to help them improve. Not only that, but he's shown as genuinely proud when they do well.
I also really like that we do get genuine interactions and growth from the other characters too. Mewi, learning to open-up and make some friends within the academy, Ficelle having to get to grips with teaching, Henblitz always wanting to improve himself and his skills... It's rare that a show, especially in this genre, would give that time to side characters.
I also think the art and animation of this show are above average. Yes, there's CGI/3D models, but I don't think they look bad/jank, and actually allow much more fluid animation in the fights (where they're used).
Overall, although I don't think this show is a mind-blowing masterpiece, it is definitely much better in all aspects, compared to a lot of the previously mentioned slop that's getting pumped-out each season (which I also watch). I'm giving it 8/10 and Recommended. I think S2 is a good continuation, so far, of what we got in S1.

This finished over a month ago, and there's only 2 reviews? That kind of says enough by itself, lol.
What I mean is that I doubt many people have given Season 3, which seems to be the final season, much of a chance, after how dull and lack-lustre Season 2 was. I also expect that not many people had expectations given that S2 aired only ~6 months prior to this, giving the impression that this was going to be a rush-job to get it over and done with.
It's a bit of a shame, because it does feel like some extra effort was put into this potentially

final season of the show, including better graphics and animation, and better pacing.
As for the story, it does wrap-up all the loose threads and major plot-points of the show, and, again, this is either going to be all we get, or we'll get an anime-only continuation with Hakkon/Boxxo clearing dungeons with the gang in order to become human again, which is somewhat hinted at in the final episode.
I won't say much more, as I'll begin to spoil things, so I'll just wrap this up by giving it a 7/10 and Mixed Feelings. Mixed Feelings only because you have to sit through S2 in order to finish off with S3.

If we ignore the original source, this is arguably just more of what we got in Season 1: Hiraku enjoying his new life, farming, and being surrounded by tons of women where he hopes some men will join his ever-expanding town.
The comedy is still the same, the OP-ness of Hiraku's nation is still the same, and we even get some good moments, such as a meeting between Hakuren's Dad and the Demon King.
We also continue to see Hiraku's town expanding, with new races and new characters appearing, some of which are fairly unique takes on certain mythological and supernatural beings.

has no real plot to it, and I would agree on that front, but that doesn't automatically discount this as trash. Many iyashikei shows, which is what this is, essentially consist of little slice-of-life and filler-type episodes to fill-out their run-time. What makes or breaks a show like that is the cast of characters and their interactions. And, in this case, Farming Life S2 succeeds. We still have the rivalry between Ruu and Tia, we still have the dragon girls being too OP to truly fit in (which is a big part of this season and their growth), we have newcomer characters struggling with their new situation, and, of course, more of best-girl Zabuton.
For anime-onlys, I would definitely recommend this show, especially if you enjoyed Season 1.
However... For OG-Source readers and enjoyers, this season is going to be a bit harder to swallow. Now, I haven't read the OG source myself, but being on the main isekai subreddit has essentially got me to a point where I do have a grasp on certain plot-points and have a general overview of the story.
Based on my limited knowledge, and what people have posted about, clearly the anime is deviating quite a lot from the source and cutting-out a lot of the harem and sexual elements. I will not say they are gone from the anime entirely, because they aren't, but the pacing is definitely different from that of the OG.
As examples, although S1 did heavily hint that Hiraku and Tia were a bit of a thing, due to Ruu not being able to "handle it" by herself, there's been no movement or real acknowledgement on that front. Hakuren could be theorised to be wanting to make a move on Hiraku in S2, but it's left incredibly vague. There is also nothing even remotely hinted at for the majority of the elves, or the oni maids, which I do believe was already a thing by this point in the novel.
Maybe if we get a S3, that's where all this will be, and the OG-source readers can breathe a sigh of relief, with just the pacing being changed, but who knows?
So, overall, I do think this is deserving of a 7/10 - Good, but it's getting "Mixed Feelings", because, well, it definitely fits the description of that, depending on if you're anime-only or OG-reader.

Even when watching the first episode of S2, something didn't feel right, but I couldn't really put my finger on it.
Episode 2 was much the same, although I was starting to realise that the animation quality had definitely dipped compared to S1. Now no, S1 did not have the most mind-blowing animation ever, but it was definitely serviceable, and there was clearly thought put into what should be prioritised and made to look good.
Season 2 however, is straight-up bad with what has been shown so-far, and Episode 3 was atrocious. Ariane and Arc talking or walking, while the townsfolk are still-image and frozen in-time,
...
and even Ponta wasn't spared from that fate, with the 3D model just slapped on Arc's shoulder unmoving.
Arc eating? Nope, just show a still-frame of his helmet for ~5 seconds to save on anim-frames. Ariane using her sword against a couple of bandits? Nope, just cut, show a still-frame with some slashes, then cut to the dudes on the floor. Ariane using her flaming sword magic? Nah, just re-use the same animation frames from S1.
Even in regards to the story, yeah, it still covers some of the darker elements of society (kidnappers, bandits, etc), but anything that would make it actually hit is off-screened or cut-away. I also noticed that anytime you would expect to see harder-hitting moments with some blood (like S1 EP1), it's also just not shown here. Dudes that got slashed just lie on the floor without a single bruise or cut or drop of blood.
What has ended up happening is that across these 3 episodes, the story no longer feels like "Skeleton Knight" and just feels like this season's 37th generic isekai slop with OP MC.
I, like many others, was so looking forward to this show returning, but if this is what we're getting, then you're probably better off sticking to re-watching S1 and acting like S2 doesn't exist.
I'll hold out a little hope that maybe something will improve across the weeks, and maybe a hype moment or 2 will be well-done, but it's not looking good as of EP3.
Preliminary score is 4/10 - Bad. I'm putting Mixed Feelings just because some people will just enjoy the fact Skeleton Knight is back on the screen, even if the showing is poor.

I am a Tensura fanboy in all honesty, but even I found myself thinking "what the heck was that?" when this film ended.
First of all, there are so many characters in this movie, and yet their inclusion was seemingly just to be able to say to fans "hey look, the gang's all here!", with absolutely zero reason for half of them to actually be in this movie.
We have the Oni group of Benimaru, Shion, Shuna, Souei, and Hakuro, and outside of Shion, the others get a couple of 3-second action scenes, and Shuna doesn't even get that.
We then have Veldora, Hinata, Luminus, Frey, Milim,
...
Ramiris, Beretta, and Treyni showing up, but I couldn't tell you why. There's a couple of gag/comedic moments between them all and Elmesia, but... that's it.
Veldora has a couple of scenes, but the rest of them just get side-lined the entire thing and make you wonder what the point of them even being there was. This is especially true for Frey, as I forgot she was even in the movie.
Arguably, Elyun/Eren got more screen-time than the rest of them combined.
Was is just so they can go "Avengers Assemble!" in one single action scene at the end, which the whole point of was so they had something hype to put in the trailer?
It's a terrible waste of fan-favourite characters, and arguably half of them could have been cut, and the movie would be better off for it.
As others have said, this film is essentially focussed around Gobta and a newcomer called Yura. Even Rimuru takes a bit of a back-seat here.
However, I don't even know where to begin with reviewing the plot/story.
At least Scarlet Bond was cohesive and made a certain amount of sense, even if it's not tied to the canon source. That movie was a well-written, self-contained thing with setup/build-up, action, pay-off and a satisfying conclusion.
The same cannot be said for Tears of the Azure Sea in my opinion.
The first half is the gang having fun a la summer beach/filler episode, and then suddenly Kaien gets introduced as a new nation. It's not dissimilar to how things happened in Scarlet Bond, but here it's way more throwaway with way less tie-in.
The second half is where this movie falls apart though. What are the motivations for the villains? I have no clue whatsoever. I can't really say a lot without spoiling a massive chunk of the movie, but about 2/3rds of the way through, I was thinking "eh, that's it for the payoff? what the hell?" only for even more ridiculous nonsense to start happening that had zero build-up and made zero sense.
I could almost say that it feels as though a ton of stuff got left on the cutting room floor, or the producers realised they spent too much of the run-time waffling and doing the whole "beach filler episode" stuff, only to then just rush and slap together whatever was left.
I would even go so far as to say that the whole Gobta/Yura thing that they tried to get-going, just fell entirely flat, due to the pacing of the movie and how contrived it was in places.
I know Slime is a Shounen, and is made to appeal to those younger than me, but I've been following this series since it first started airing, and this is the first time that I have been this disappointed in any of its media. Even the meeting episodes at the start of season 3 had at least a reason behind them and some interesting lore. This does not. It's completely throwaway.
I probably would have preferred this movie had it just been a summer/beach OVA, rather than what we got - and I would much prefer to watch Scarlet Bond for the ~4th time that rewatch this.
I cannot give this higher than a 6/10 honestly, and that's only because the voice-acting and overall animation/art quality hold it up. Otherwise, it would have been a 5.
P.S: Make sure you watch the first couple episodes of season 4 before you see this, because otherwise some things will not make sense.

After having watched so much seasonal isekai and fantasy slop, I was looking for something different, that might have a bit of depth to it. I was therefore more than interested when I saw this pop up on my feed and after I read the blurb.
A detective that can return from death in order to solve cases? It certainly has that sci-fi or supernatural sound to it.
However, does this compare to PsychoPass? Hell no. Does it compare to ID:Invaded? Also hell no. What about something like Moriarty The Patriot? Yet again, hell no.
This show actually has more in common, in my mind at least,

with the aforementioned isekai/fantasy slop than it does any good detective or drama anime. After watching 3 whole episodes, it's more like I'm watching a typical high-school romcom or harem show, than anything that could be meaningfully considered a "detective show".
MAL does list it as Mystery / Romance, but so far at least, that description is using the loosest definition of "mystery" possible.
Each episode, thus far, is about 3/4 the MC flirting or being clueless around cute girls with the tsundere-type sidekick girl being jealous, while the other 1/4 is almost fanfic-level writing by someone who read 3 pages of Sherlock Holmes and thought they could reproduce it.
It's hard to give an example without just spoiling it, but at one point, it's like "OMG MC you murdered that guy, you murderer!", "Ah, well, you see, I can't have done, because I'm still alive!", "Oh my, you're right! Please go and find the actual killer!".
You might think I'm exaggerating there, but I'm really not.
So, what's left is the "romance" and, as alluded to, it's very high-school cringe level. A lot of awkward flirting, blushing and what-not, with, again, the sidekick being jealous of the MC daring to even talk to another female.
Preliminary opinion is that this show is just bad. I guess one redeeming quality is that the girls are cute, although the actress girl reminds me of Ye Shunguang from Zenless Zone Zero, in both looks and the fact she's all over the MC from day 1.
4/10. Not Recommended. It's definitely not a good detective/drama show, and it's barely passable as a rom/rom-com.

I was thinking I could write a funny review for this show, but after the 4th episode, my brain has turned to goop and is simply in a state of bewilderment.
I honestly have no clue what's going on, yet I am morbidly intrigued by it.
It's very clearly another slop isekai that's been dumped into this season, yet it seems to know that's what it is, and just decides to go crazy with it.
Characters? There's the MC, who looks like a shota, but is supposedly 16, yet is absolutely clueless about everything and needs it all spelled-out for him word-for-word, as if he plays gacha games
...
for a living. Even then though, he's beyond dense. Due to "plot", he stumbles upon button-bursting elf mummy, who is also somehow socially inept and whose boobs are either shown or mentioned 15 times every episode (so far).
World-building? Something is definitely going on with the MC and why he was reincarnated/transported, but... Well, I don't get the impression that a deep and meaningful plot is what this show is going for.
Premise/Plot? Well, as I'm sure most of you can gather by now, this is almost certainly going to end up another "MC is so OP he rivals God" situation, because even during Episode 1, the whole "he can only use Appraisal" is thrown out the window and everyone is agasp at his SSS skills that only he has because he's so special mega-awesome.
My preliminary overview is that this reminds me of Maou-Sama Retry! (the first season). A kind of awful that ends up making it funny.
I will say though, that if you don't like or don't want boobs, boob jokes, or fan-service thrown at you multiple times per episode, or you don't want a show with a stupidly dense MC, best to avoid this one.
The over-the-top "comedy" is also going to be a major hit-or-miss too.
4/10 - It's bad, but "funny bad".

As I've said plenty of times now, most isekai skip or forget the whole isekai part by the end of the first episode, or maybe by the end of the 2nd if you're lucky.
Hell Mode on the other hand, actually keeps the isekai nature of the story relevant throughout the 12 episode run-time. The MC doesn't suddenly forget he's a modern-day gamer, nor does he devolve into becoming a kid that simply has a higher-than-expected intelligence for his age.
Furthermore, again unlike most slop isekai we keep getting, this one doesn't race to the "MC is super OP" part. The MC does gain strength and levels

throughout the runtime of the 12 episodes, but that is the main plot of these 12 episodes. He starts off weak and ends up strong, but not stupidly strong, as it's also shown on several occasions that although he is now able to mop-up certain monsters with ease, he's by no means the strongest guy in the Kingdom, and he does get beaten, multiple times even.
If anything, this is one of the better-paced isekai that I can think of in recent memory. The story itself was also enjoyable and somewhat novel, although there are obviously other summoner-type isekai and fantasy shows out there. Again, I think this one stands out due to the pacing and overall plot.
I do not want to go into spoilers, but I was a little let-down with a reveal at one point, but, well, I'll just say "it is an isekai after all".
However, I will say that the biggest let-down of this show is the clearly lacking art and animation budget. The MC is a summoner, and in most summoner-type shows I've seen, the summons themselves at least look decent, I mean, they are a focus. Here though, I think they're CGI, and although they're not horrifyingly terrible, they do have that... "Arifureta Season 1" look to them. Like they're made of plastic, and have flat lighting on them. There's also just a lot of slideshow-esque elements, cut-aways and just, essentially, what you would expect from a low-budget isekai, including one egregious example of black-screening in the later episodes.
Overall, I'm still going to give this show a 7/10, as it was good. I would have rated it higher had the animation and art quality been there, but alas. Yes, I also would recommend this show.

I did watch the first couple of episodes when this first started airing and thought it might be decent, but then got too engrossed in that season's servings of typical isekai and fantasy slop, so never finished this one until now.
I'm glad I did in all honesty.
Despite my apparent hunger for anything isekai, the otome game sub-genre of stories are not what I typically watch, unless they deviate from the norm.
Safe to say this one does, and turns the typical premise on its head. Here we have a middle-aged otaku salaryman getting reincarnated (somewhat) into the body of the villainess of the otome game his
...
daughter was playing at the time.
Although our MC wants to fulfil his role as the villainess, his parental instincts, alongside his pleasant demeanour, end-up derailing that completely, with the show ending up incredibly wholesome and full of gags and comedy. Personally, I found I laughed quite a lot while watching this show, with each episode at least getting a few giggles out of me.
Now, I will say that some of the other reviews here are correct in that, outside of the MC, there aren't really any other characters that go through any sort of meaningful development. Anna, the supposed heroine, does go through some development initially, in that she starts to find her place in "noble society", but does very quickly become "Sasuga Grace-sama!". Thankfully this season had just enough episodes in it, whereby it didn't overstay its welcome and get old, although I can definitely see that being the case for some.
I could argue the above point is somewhat mitigated by the fact that the MC's family feature heavily, and, without spoiling, does make the story feel unique in this regard. I would also like to give this show some props, as compared to most isekai shows, the MC's modern-day knowledge and life-experiences do actually factor in and play a role in the story.
Lastly, although typical sequel bait, the whole reincarnation thing and what's going on there are interesting plot-points and do make me want more of this show, if we ever get it.
Overall, I found this a very enjoyable watch, I laughed a lot, and the VAs do some incredible work selling the show. This one really stood out to me, so I'm giving it an 8/10 and Recommended.
