Watch the anime and forget about something called manga -- or forget that this have any source material to begin with, think this is an anime original anime. And even studio wants their viewer believe that(I guess).

Animation, sound and character design are great, And it’s obivous that’s Studio Ghibli we are talking.
The only issue(I faced) is the structure they presented the story. The main character(Jirou) goes through three stages of his life – his childhood, university, and career — building planes for Mitsubishi. But when it comes down to the story, the main plot is the last one, and the first one was shown pretty good but the second could be provided far more efficiently by other means(if they really want to). Jirou’s childhood was shown very good(in my opinion), and last one is also good But his university life can be trimmed ... |
