First episode return for this show and there's already illegal criminal activity in the city. It never changes! They didn't waste much time with idols either.

On another note, it's nice to see the cast back again. Even Eraser Head is back and he's busy solving cases. Doesn't seem they're doing anything too crazy for this anime yet. Pop Step still switches between her hero outfit and civilian look. And yeah, Kouichi is still around city doing what he started.

Koichi and the gang are back for the 2nd round of MHA's spin-off, and suffice to say that the heroes are back for more.

Threee's OP may not be as catchy and glamorous than Koichi no Kento's Season 1's OP, but it's good.

As usual, the heroes being on surveillance against the villains, and Fat Gum alongside the team to oversee Kazuho's performance, alongside some unfamiliar faces for the idol event. As expected, villains behind the scenes are at work, and it's the heroes' work to stop them before they wreak havoc.

shytaupe's ED is crazy good, better than Shiyui's Season 1 ED.

It's gonna take some time before something major happens this season.

Kids had their fun with regular MHA last season. now it’s time for this to come back after that rough cliffhanger. I don’t think this really needed a recap since it hasn’t even been a year since the last cour, but oh well. Sucks that it took up most of the episode but at least first episode in and we already got our boy Fatgum!

I actually laughed when Koichi missed the train because he was buying bento, right after the twins said he seemed like that type. Then again when Fatgum started handing criminals takoyaki. There was a lot of Fatgum this episode actually, and he was introduced really smoothly into here. It was also cool seeing Eraser Head in action, really shows why he’s suited for dealing with the underworld. Feels like things are setting up for some kind of drug bust.

Overall some solid setup for the season. OP and ED were a downgrade in my opinion, but seeing TNK do a solo SB/UA/KA on the OP was still nice.

Vigilantes is back! I'm so glad Season 2 came out so fast. The main series ended just last season. And Season 1 was only 2 seasons ago. That feels really fast compared to some other shows that take forever to put out another season. I'm happy cause I loved Season 1.

Looks like I'm not the only one who didn't like the new OP/ED. It's such a huge downgrade from Season 1 OP. Season 1's OP was a straight banger. Probably one of the best MHA OPs. This one was just boring. Is this one of those OPs that will get updated after a few more episodes? Probably not. Didn't like the ED all that much either. The first one was better. But maybe it'll grow on me who knows. I just hope the OP isn't an indication that this season will be mediocre.

Whoa Koichi found a new technique for his quirk. He's basically just Spider-Man now. All he needs now is a way to shoot webs or grappling hooks. Bettter ask homeless Batman for that.

Ah Fatgum is here. Nice of him to give that criminal some takoyakis. Can't be Osaka without takoyakis or comedians. At first I thought the crab girl was the one distributing drugs. But turns out she was an undercover cop. That was a nice diversion.

Decent first episode. Can't wait to see what's next.

They finally fixed a minor gripe i had on the first season. Pop step is supposed to be a bit rough around the edges with her singing but they made her sing too perfect in the first season with no flaws. this time it seems they fixed it cause she was quite out of tune as she is supposed to be a little bad. i honestly didnt expect them to fix this at all since its such a minor thing that probably only a couple people care about.

I think the reason Pop sings so well in the first season is that they wanted to release her songs on streaming services. I believe the same thing will happen this season if she has a new song.

For a record, Fatgum is the author's favorite character. I only like him when he's in a muscular mode though.

The first episode of the new season doesn't offer anything groundbreaking yet. But there's something I learn over years of watching anime, it's that you MUST NEVER DOUBT STUDIO BONES. Once they're in the zone, they're unstoppable.

Only have time to listen to the OP and ED of Season 2 right now but after I went back and relistened/watched all 4 opening/ending
Season 1 definitely eclipse s2's op and ed for sure imo
My ranking would be S1 OP > S1 ED > S2 ED > S2 OP. S2 OP is actually so lackluster man

I'm so disappointed with the opening! Both the music and the visuals! The first one had a banger song and the animation felt like a comic book, but this one is just meh.

Anyways, this first ep was an amazing follow-up to last season. I’m really hyped for next week!

The op and ed and are good but not quite catchy like season 1.

Koichi is growing by discovering new ways in which his quirk can be used. I really thought Kaniko was the villain but instead she turned out to be an undercover Officer investigating Trigger. So the man with the scar, is that Hachisuka ?

We're back in this spinoff I've been looking forward to continuing since the first season and already we have a trip to Osaka with Koichi realizing he has a new way to use his quirk: sucking (not in that way). I was missing the interactions between him and Pop who even though they aren't going out they do look great hanging out together at least in events.

Meanwhile, the scarred guy we saw at the last part of season 1 is probably behind the crimes being investigation being carried out by Eraserhead and Fatgum. As the enthusiastic crab representative Kaniko moves into action undercover, it's up to Pop to... pilot a robor crab?

Good opening and ending in terms of animation, though I'm more fond of the tunes from the first season.

This was a good way to return to HeroAca Vigilante. The OP and ED aren't as good as the previosu season, but they're still good songs and the visual style for the both of them looked nice.

As for the episode itself, I always enjoy the awkward, but amusing chemistry that Koichi and Kazuho have together. While Koichi himself was making a fool of himself for getting a bento lunch and running after the train as it left the station, he did unleash a part of his quirk that he hasn't done before, so I guess it all works out. XD

Fatgum is as cool as ever and his companion is someone I thought was shady at first, but I'm glad that I judged her wrong. It'll be interesting to see how the story will play out for this second season.

This was a great first episode of the second season. Showing that we want more serious topics in the anime, without wanting it to be overbearing given that, whether anime only or (like me) having read the manga first, we had to wait just short of a year just to get this season. And the fact that we're getting it through the lens of an Idol exhibition is really nice.

Seeing FatGum, Aizawa, and (though through a flashback) Midnight, I loved the heroes seen within the episode. And Koichi and Pop, with how they continued to grow in this episode, were really good. And may I just say how I love Kaniko's Japanese VA? Just her ability to get across the two ways of talking was really great for the performance. I am excited to see more of this season, and what comes next (even if I know what comes.

Very laid back first episode but thats kind of why I really like vigilantes, things being reduced to street level just makes everything hit harder for me and I like how small and focused our main cast is. I really am looking foreword to Koichi's powers developing theres a real underdog vibe to him that the main series lost with deku like 2 seasons in

Very happy to have Vigilantes back this winter, I really enjoyed the first season in the spring last year, and the final season of the main series just ended in this most recent fall, so it’s very nice timing getting this right after. First off, I’m seeing the OP and ED getting some hate, especially the OP, and I think that’s a shame because I think they’re both really good, the ED in particular really grabbed me right away, I know Season 1’s songs were really hard to beat but I think too many folks are knocking these new ones too soon, give them a few more listens and you might just change your tune, that’s my experience with music anyway.

As for the episode itself, looks like we’re starting off with an arc focused on Pop Step’s idol duties as she enters an event focused around mascots, but not before Kouichi discovered a new magnetic aspect of his quirk, missing the train and frantically trying to keep up with it was a funny way to discover this lol, definitely a cool addition to Kouichi. And we already met a new character, being Kaniko, and let me tell you how relieved I was when it was revealed she’s an undercover cop lol, I thought for sure she was being set up as one of the drug dealers, thankfully the funny and cute crab babe is an ally instead. We also got to see Fat Gum for the first time in this spin-off I believe (forgive me if I’m wrong lol), it’s nice to see him getting a role here at the start of the new season, looking forward to seeing him in action.

And with that, I guess we’re in for another romp with the vigilantes, should be a good time I imagine!

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is back for a Season 2, and it starts with a brief recap of what went down in the previous season.

I noticed in the promotion art that I saw yesterday that Knuckleduster wasn’t in it, so I wonder if he’ll make an appearance.

We started off pretty light for a re introduction into the series following the conclusion of the main series, but Koichi Haimawari discovers a new application to his quirk, magnetism. He can stick onto things; not just hover over things. I’m sure that he’ll put this to good use, especially since in the preview we see him using it.

So Koichi and Kazuho Haneyama (Pop Step) head over to Esha SS Mall to perform at a venue in which we’re introduced to Monika Kaniyashiki who we learn is actually an undercover police officer helping to bust the drug operation that’s distributing Trigger. And speaking of, it seems that Eraserhead has gotten some key info from Ichiro and Jiro Hotta regarding its distribution and that giant that Captain Celebrity took down last season (Kirihito Kamachi) took a different version of the drug that made him HUGE.

Let’s see what’s about to go down this episode.
