This anime is the standard "I was sent away to foreign land and treated well" story, and its biggest problem is that it is just that. It's not inventing something new or trying something different. It is staying in the safe zone and that is it's biggest flaw.
Animation and music: quite standard one. Animation is on budget but there is nothing outright bad, some actions scenes were nice and the rest is ok. Music is also there but it does not do anything else, not even enhancing the scenes that much.
Overall - industry standard, nothing bad but nothing good either.
Characters: this show has quite few
...
of them but with the exception of main cast + Edward's older brother we do not get character development for any of them. Carolina is your standard goody-goody two shoes tragic heroine, despite that I have really enjoyed her growth and how forgiving she is toward everyone who wronged her in some way. Edward is also fine as he develops toward uncertain warrior to proud and stern statesmen. But outside these two and Gilbert, who is Edwards older brother and also get's quite the development around the middle of the series, everyone else is either one-dimensional or serve a singular purpose or have some development started and then it just ends there. I have not read LN's but I did read the manga and they have handled all secondary characters a lot better there. The relationship between Marissa and Theodore is great example how other medium handled that great and anime completely forgot about if after episode 5.
Overall - with the exception of main duo and one more character the rest are left in the dark. Which is a shame as some of their stories in manga/LN's are done quite well.
Story: now, I have read the manga so I do have some bias but what is presented in anime is to explain it plainly - quite safe. Main theme of the story is not how Caroline get's love and respect she deserves - but forgiveness itself. And you can see that in Carolina and few more characters who had confronted their dark past and were able to resolve them without severely punishing the other party. Not only did anime made all of that rushed and light - it also did the same thing for villains who have their own arcs rushed and done in a episode or two. Whoever watched last episode know what I am talking about. Let's be honest - this is a typical Mary Sue story. But even those can be entertaining if there is either good development (story or characters) or something spicy and innovating thrown into the story. This one has neither and as a result ends up bland.
Overall - story is standard heroine one, but it has the misfortune of rushing all the good parts and as a result it ends up more bland than anything.
Overall grade: 7 for me, and honestly the best grade this anime can achieve. Which is a real shame as manga (and presumably the LN) have some very nice scenes. Especially when dealing with Carolina, Marissa, Owen and their pasts. As it is, the anime is just your standard tragic heroine meets people who will respect her one.
The story is over, so no season 2. As for the recommendation... If you like these type of story than give it a go for a weekend, there are many worse ways you can waste your time. Otherwise it is an easy skip, or if you are really interested in the story you can go and check either manga or LN's which offer superior versions in my humble opinion.

Despite it's very dark moments in 1st episode this anime is in it's core fantasy slice of life one. It was enjoyable watch from start to end, although it's very structure is it's biggest strenght and it's greatest weakness.
Animation and music: quite solid. Animation is fluent and you can tell they did not cut corners here like some other shows. But giving the nature of the show there was no need for it and I am so glad this was the case. Music is industry standard, no unique soundtracks but the music has that fantasy relaxing theme to itself which made the show that much
...
enjoyable.
Overall - music and animation may be industry standard but they are done with love and case, they make the show that much enjoyable.
Characters: quite a lot of them, each with their own personalities and quirks. This is one of the show's biggest strengths and weaknesses as there are way too much of them to follow. So, I will note just the major ones that reappear throughout the series. The biggest one being Nekoryuu, the dragon who was raised by mama cat and protect the cats. He is very likable guy, strong and wise but also surprisingly innocent at times. To all the cats in humans in this show, no matter if they love him or are afraid of them, he is a person to be respected. And that is well earned giving how much effort and care he puts into making sure that forest cats are raised with love and let to live their lives as they want. Other than him is mama cat, who is probably the most likable character in a show - becasue let's be honest, who does not like happy and caring mother character in anime? She is the one that raised dragon and later on one more human girl, despite being forcefully summoned by humans from her forest and her kin. Other characters include a prince who wants to become adventurer, an inexperienced mage girl, a carefree older sister and all the various cats that exists around them and humans in general.
Overall - there are a LOT of characters in this show, but they are all lively and vibrant. Although following all of them can be a bit challenging.
Story: this is this show biggest strenght and weakness. It starts very strong and dark, one might say we might get something very brutal and dark like "Clevatess", but in the end what we got is more akin to "Food for the soul". This anime story is not one coherent one with a single protagonist, but multiple stories that are or not connected to dragon in some way. On the one hand this is interesting as you get to experience many different mini stories and point of view's, but at the same time I can see that some people may be off-putt by this as there is really no focus in this story. Moreover as some of them are not finished, so it feels you invested time and emotions into them only to get no return in the end. In the end most of it was enjoyable, in it's core it is a story about humans and cats coming to live together and make the world a better place.
Overall - story has it's good moments but the focus is spread over several mini-stories instead of a single one. Which can be a good or bad thing depending on who is your favorite character to follow here.
Overall grade - a solid 8 from me, and well deserved. This anime is really relaxing slice of life one, with dragon and cats as added bonus. Multiple storylines can drag it a bit but at the same time some of them are quite emotional to watch, especially the one from episode 11.
In the end I would recommend the show to anyone who likes slice of life and fantasy. And while I doubt we will ever get another season, I will watch it if it ever airs.

One of the best new isekai anime series this season. It is a maid power fantasy and I loved every single minute of it. it is not a perfect show, but what it brings is nonetheless quite enjoyable.
Animation and music - industry standard. Animation is good and fluent, but you can tell that they have saved frames here and there. Music is also standard one with the exception of OP song which is rap instead of standard song.
Overall: animation and music are solid enough to be enjoyable. Nothing bad but nothing good as well.
Characters - there is a lot of them and most
...
of them are quite enjoyable. First thing to note is that this is isekai, but with a twist that main heroine does not know that. Melodie is your standard goody-goody two shoes young lady that has a wish to become the best maid in the world. A wish that has roots both in her previous world and this one as well. What she does not know is that she is also a heroine and a saint of this universe, which makes her completely broken as a character. And when you combine that OP with how clueless and innocent she is chaos ensues and it is joy to watch it. Beside Melodie we have Luciana who is young noble lady that lives alone in a run down mansion in the capital. She is very highly rated noble but her family has finance issues and as a result her current situation is quite desperate. But despite that she is always smiling and giving her all, something that only became more and more apparent once Melodie started working for her. These two are the main duo and her relationship is one of the things that makes this story great. Other characters do not get much screen time but a lot of them have been properly developed. Especially the prince Christopher and villainess Anna Marie, each scene with these two was also great watch.
Overall: there are a lot of characters and rarely who of them is outright bad. Main duo has great dynamics and prince and villainess characters are also enjoyable.
Story - story here is that Melodie is the "chosen one", a saint to save the world from the "dark one", but instead of perusing that path she decided to become a maid. And it is from that simple premise that the rest of the story is structured. The more it progressed the more interesting it became, simply becasue of the sheer unpredictability and hilariousness of the said scenes. Despite being the power fantasy slice of life kind of story it has it's dark moments. Especially when we learn about certain events form the original storyline. Few of the characters are rather unique, but I will not spoil this here. Suffice it to say the story is full of surprises and despite looking like standard otome isekai it is not quite that. Story does not have romance despite being otome in nature, but it has yuribait moments.
Overall: story is enjoyable and full of surprises. It is a pure power fantasy that can have some dark moments here and there, but overall it is nice slice of life one.
Overall grade: 10 from me, I quite enjoyed it. Realistically this anime deserves a solid 8. And it is an easy recommendation from me. especially if you are isekai and slice of life fan.
I have no idea if we will ever get season 2, but if we do I will watch it for sure.

This anime was a short and nice one to watch. While the formula is nothing new, what we got is different enough to be entertaining. But it does have things that drag it down a lot.
Animation and sound: animation is on the strict budget and you can tell. While most of the episodes were fine the others are nothing short of a disaster. Those who watched episode 4 know what I am speaking about. What saved this anime from being trashed the same way One Punch Man season 3 was is franchise not being as popular. The music on the other hand is not
...
that bad and can actually enhance the scene depending on the usage. Even when working on budget Deen knows to work wonders with music.
Overall - animation is passable at best while music is more noticeable becasue the animation is on budget.
Characters: one might say "then why this anime does not have lower grade than 7?" and the character and story section is where it does a good job. Our main female lead is very likable. Being a former agent she is always on the run and being the master of many trades she is a bada** but also a kind soul. Add to that Jeff, who is very kind and responsible individual and Nonna who is innocent and filled with energy and you get wholesome slice of life show with secret agent defection as a hidden subplot. There are other characters but they are very minor in this story. Victoria, Jeff and Nonna make the trinity of this show and it is certainly responsible for getting the grade it has. The characters are also not one dimensional but they develop as the show goes on. Victoria for example may be master in many things but living her whole life as she did she has no real experience in living ordinary life or trusting other people that much but despite that she is giving her best and slowly learning the true joys in life.
Overall - three main characters are very likable and the pillar of this show. Their dynamic and growth is why this show is as good as it is and makes due with animation on budget.
Story: it's solid. A typical former secret agent on the run spy kind of story. But I must say that some things that happen in it made me scratch my head. I can understand that Victoria is deep down a good person and that she wants to help others, but she is also on the run and in hiding. So one would think that she would be much more careful at certain point of the story. Still, it was ok since it allowed not only for growth of her character but for showcasing how awesome she is with certain things. Beside Victoria, Jeff, Nonna and main secret agent story there are few other mini stories that are very emotional and dramatic which on the surface is not lot but it really makes the main story overall better. My other complain is episode number. 9 episodes were perfect for adapting the 1'st volume of LN but because of that some scenes were rushed. While I understand the budget reasons I don;t think that they would save that much for doing even 2 more episodes and the show would have been much better for it as some scenes would leave much more emotional impact instead of being over in 1 minute.
Overall - main story is solid. It could have been done better but it could have been done much worse.
Overall grade: 8 for me, realistically anime is solid 7. It was a nice journey that makes me wonder what kind of show it would have been if other studio took it. But alas, what we got is solid enough and it is easy recommendation from me. Especially if you like shows like Spy x Family.
And season 2 has been announced and I will watch it for sure. Hopefully with another studio that will invest a bit more into this series.

Now, rarely do I write a review for manga. Or any anime series I finished and it is not in this season. But this time I really feel the need to do so as this series is quite good and there is not many people talking about it. I will note in the review why.
So the story follows Nozomi and Shino, they are family by marriage as in Nozomi married Shino's older brother and started living with them. The story starts with Shino's brother early death (he died from overwork and people didn't notice it until some time passed, talking about toxic work culture Japan...)
...
and with Nozomi and Shino now having to face with this sudden loss and decide what to do next.
The central theme of the manga is loss and how to deal with it. And the bond that Shino and Nozomi create is one of the things this manga is worth checking out. Their growth from strangers to family, to overcoming loss and to embrace the next big steps in life is truly heartwarming and wholesome. Add to that their friends who are always there to assist or to make a mess sometimes and you have one banger of a dramatic story.
Reading this manga and how characters interact and grow made me realize why is "Amayo no Tsuki" manga so good. As this is the same author and this is her earlier manga and you can see where she got the experience for writing such dramatic and heartwarming stories.
However, this manga also has one gigantic flaw. Which is why I think it is not as discussed as much and did not receive anime adaptation despite having such good story and characters. And that flaw is the biggest yuribait I have seen so far, and I read a lot of manga. Let me say that this would not be an issue if the relationship between them was just platonic, or sisterly. Then it would still be a good manga regardless. The problem is the way author wrote the 2 main female characters and how they act toward eachother, I swear that people who are crossing the Sahara desert by foot are not as thirsty as Nozomi and Shino are for eachother (something that some people even acknowledged in the story). And yet, despite all of that and some very borderline situations nothing ever happens. And I think this type of storytelling pissed a lot of people off, something that author thankfully decided to change with "Amayo no Tsuki" and went full yuri.
In the end I would still recommend manga, as the story, drama and overcoming loss are alone worth it. But if you saw "Girls Love" tag for this manga (which all manga sites have for it) and expected some awesome yuri action you are going to be as disappointed as original readers were when this manga was releasing.

2nd best romance anime this season after "2nd prettiest girl" one (sorry Angel Next Door but these are the facts), while playing it quite safe for romance anime it is unique enough to bring something fresh and be entertaining.
Animation and music: pretty standard. Animation is not amazing but it is solid enough to get the job done, like 90% of all studios today they were on budget but they did fine job with what they had to work with. Music is also average, nothing memorable but still getting the job done.
Overall - both are industry standard, nothing good or bad to talk about.
Characters: Miku
...
and Yukiya are the bread and butter of this show. Both have their own struggles but ever since they were little they have been there for eachother. Miku was very depressed as a kid becasue of family member loss while Yukiya was always a loner who enjoyed introvert hobbies. The bond they have created since then has just been evolving, to the point they know almost everything over eachother. Add main premise of love game to that relationship and what you get is a lot of lovey-dovey moments. Shame that there are no other characters that are notable beside these two, as they all serve just to comment on them or to set up next part of the story. We have shopkeeper and his young female worker who gush over them, Yukiya's little sister who is wondering the entire time when will these two get together and their schoolmates who either find their interactions cute or want to seduce one or other. And in the end we have student council president who herself has her own love issues and want their help. All in all, Miku and Yukiya are only two characters with any kind of care or development, the rest are just filler.
Overall - two main leads are why you are watching this anime, the rest of the characters are just there to make them shine even brighter. And the two of them are more than enough of a reason to watch this show.
Story: typical love story, but with a twist. Since they were kids they started playing this love game, basically the first one who makes the other one's heart skip a beat wins. But since both know eachtoher way too well and are quite prideful in that the game is at stalemate. Now, this can be both good and bad from story perspective. On one hand it creates a lot of lovey-dovey moments, on the other hand it is infuriating as the only reason why they are not dating is becasue of this game and stalemate. The story did not ended with this anime but at the later half you can tell that they are slowly losing patience and that it is only a matter of time until they go all frustrated to love hotel together, how much time it will take is the question.
Overall - story is the weakest part of the story as what gives it it's uniqueness is also hampering it a lot and the more it progresses the worse it gets.
Overall grade: 10 for me as I quite enjoyed it, realistically this anime is between 7 and 8. Quite good and enjoyable romance but one that should not go like this for too long.
I would recommend this anime to everyone who is loving the trope, expect some uniqueness but nothing too crazy. If they ever release part 2 I will watch it.

This was nice ecchi show. Nothing revolutionary or groundbreaking, but a nice ordinary show with known traits and predictable character traits.
Animation and music: pretty standard. This is ecchi show so nothing crazy, basic animation that focuses on lewdness is decent enough to be enjoyable. Music is also in the same category, preforming it's role while doing nothing exemplary.
Overall - animation and music are pretty standard, nothing new to see here.
Characters: this show characters are your usual gang of walking tropes. Which should be boring and uninteresting if not for the sure chaos happening all the time around them. Ms. Yowa... ahem... Ms. Hiyori is our
...
main female lead and she fits all the criteria. Bombastic body and boobs and willingness to do anything in order to make her students happy. Akihito, who is our MC is not as dense as others but is very reserved, despite his obvious intention to accept sensei's innocent nature and twist it to his desires. Then we have tomboyish childhood friend MIzuki, the pervert shut in Yuuki, the crazy onee-san Akemi and opportunist Kaya senpai. All of them combined create so many interesting echhi scenes that you cannot help by smile at sheer insanity of said scenes.
Overall - characters are walking tropes but for some miracle they avoid being boring and just create enjoyable chaos around themselves.
Story: it starts with entire class misunderstanding Hiyori sensei, thinking of her like she is a witch or something. Akihito learns the truth shortly afterwards - sensei is just so weak and shy that she cannot even speak or act normally in front of students. And despite all of that she still her best to become teacher as she really like that job. Putting aside how would be possible for her to get the job at all, the entire story focus on Akihito supporting her and trying to repair her reputation. And that is where story ends, and afterwards it devolves into one million ecchi scenes. The accidents, the baths, the yuri - they have all of it. Some of them get repetitive after some time, but overall it is a fun watch.
Story - beside stating plot about sensei being scary it does not evolve at all. It is a simple ecchi show and it really does not need it in the end.
Overall grade: 8 from me, realistically this anime is somewhere around 7. Not good or bad show, sitting perfectly at the middle of the standard scoring system (5 to 10, everything bellow 5 does not exists).
I would recommend it if you are seeking to enjoy some basic and relaxing ecchi. If you are not into ecchi shows... then what are you doing here? xD

After Witch Hat Atelier this is the best anime this anime season. The direction, the characters, the atmosphere and story are all amazing. Proving once again that you do not need to have magic or epic battles in order to be great.
Disclaimer: I will rate this anime like I do all else I watch - as a piece of art combining several different factors in order to present us a complete picture. Like with others so far, I will not let my personal taste affect my review. Just like I will not judge anime that are not in the category I like since that
...
would not be fair toward them. The reason I say this is basically seeing some YT reviewers grading it in a way I would say it is "dishonest". I will not name them, but I will say that one reviewer who is very well known gave it average grade because, as per reviewer's own words: "I hate alcohol and I disliked that theme of this show entirely". I usually like reviewers that are uploaded from that channel and respect opinion that is providing, but with this anime I highly disagree. I am sorry, but if you are grading something which you openly state do not enjoy at all (I mean, why watch it at all then?), than that opinion in invalid since it is not objective. I just wanted to say this before we proceed as it really irked me since the show never had a chance with that reviewer giving the theme. And it is such reviews that in the end hurt the shows as fans take their opinions into account when they are deciding to either watch it or not. These people are also doing it for money, so the responsibility is even higher in that regard. Anyway, that is what I had to say as a disclaimer. Let us now return to the review.
Animation and music: both are fantastic. This anime is really unique in a way that it has no animation director - but each episode was given to a team and they had full freedom in how they will animate it. What many tourists judged as "bad animation" was actually different style being used, but you will only notice that with episode 3. The rest of them were pretty much similar, with slight differences in animation but big one in style and how episode is directed. It was really refreshing to see something new every episode, and you could tell that each team gave it their all as even the details were handled with care. Music was also good, especially the OP and ED. And when some of the more dramatic scenes in anime happened you could really tell that the music really enhanced it a lot.
Overall - animation and music are of high quality, but not in the budget sense but rather in artistic sense. Every episode having different team giving it's all is really enhancing the experience for those who can truly appreatiate it. Music is also good, no rrememberable tracks but OP and ED songs are truly great.
Characters: this is where this show really shines. You have 6 girls living in college dorm. Each one of them have it's own personality traits, habits, worries, life goals, fears etc.. And how they interact with eachother and improve their relationships is the true core of this anime. Botan is the newest arrival at the start of the story, and she quickly captures the hearts of other girls with her openminded and silly nature. Ibuki is their representative and a shy girl that has past traumas. Gojo is their senior, very serious and hard working but also fragile and eager for some attention and love. First half of anime is also dealing with relations between these three, and it really broke my heart at that time. Beside these three which makes the core we also have Yaeka and Akane, two friends who also have great dynamic but unfortunately do not get that much screen time. But for little they have been in the show when compared to the main trio they did left quite the impact as their life problems can be applied to a lot of people who can then relate to them. Last to join our gang is Chin-Lan, a girl from Taiwan. And her addition came to the perfect time as she started to act like bridge for other characters while herself taking interest in one of them. Thus not only healing our wounds but also creating a new ship that took fans by storm.
Overall - all 6 main girls are fantastic characters and their interactions, worries, dreams and struggles is what makes this show great.
Story: story is rather simple. Botan just arrived at the dorm and started living there and interacting with her fellow students. Every episode is also presenting us with 1 or 3 types of drinks, be it somethign light like beer or heavy like sake. But the main theme of the show was never drinks - but sexual tensions between these unaware lesbians. Just kidding xD. This show main theme is actually all about relationships between people. How we live our life, who are we as a person and how do we share that with others. And as you can expect it can sometimes get really heavy. Alcohol serves here less to educate us about various drinks but more for characters in the show to "open" themselves more toward others. Hence the title "Fully Blossoms When Drunk" - Botan and the rest sometimes need a glass of sake, or several in order to be honest toward others. This has been executed superbly by story and combined with their character traits it succeeded in creating one interesting show about human relations... And hot yuri wibes. xD
Overall - story is great, it is focused on 6 girls and relations between them. Combined with their character traits it is a joy to experience.
Overall grade: 10 from me, well deserved. Realistically this show sits anywhere between 9 or 8, depending on your taste. You can really tell that this show never aimed to be just standard CGDCT anime with yuri wibes. It wanted to tell a story with strong character traits and show interaction between them in truly artistic sense. And in that in more than succeeded, this anime should be shown in artistic universities on a theme "how to create truly artistically unique anime series with deep personal bonds".
Highly recommended, especially if you like dramas and yuri. Or if you are interested in animation as a form of art. For this anime surely is that in a way how each episode leaves you captivated and out of breath at how much they cared about details. Be it animation or character interactions.

Now, some people call this "The Stockholm Syndrome anime". But they could not be more wrong as Veor is not abusive or evil, on the contrary... But despite that, when they call this anime boring they are not far wrong...
Animation and music: on budget, and it is obvious. But to the credit of animation team they really did their best at certain segments of the show. The models looks great and some of the environment looks amazing. But when battles start and some of CGI is added to the mix I can understand some people when they outright hate these. Music was standard quality, not
...
good or bad. But at the same time barely noticeable.
Overall - show is on the budget and it is noticeable, but the team did their best that everything beside major battles with monsters looks decent.
Characters: this is the first issue with the show. None of the characters are that interesting. Sera, who is MFC is your typical good natured tsundere who is a knight and a general but also an innocent maiden. And Veor who is the other MC is set to be barbarian leader and yet he is rather calm and very understanding. Especially since he is 18 in the story and you do not expect such maturity and calm aura from such a young age. The other characters who are alongside them do not help either, as they are either barely present or annoying. Cersei is human from Sera's Kingdom and nomad to that but she server only to gush over Veor and Seraphina's relationship and give comments here and there while Marsius is a cleric from the Church and serve only to be annoying and gush hard over Seraphina. Both of them come from different backgrounds and could offer unique views and opinions depending on the situation, nevermind the skills they can bring to the table. But despite that chance they have been reduced to gushing pair that constantly argue between themselves in poor attempt to be comic relief. Most supporting characters in the story are either that or serve only to portrait how much is barbarian culture and it's allies better for life than Sera's Kingdom.
Overall - characters setup should represent them as interesting and insightful individuals but they all come flat in the end, both main and supporting ones.
Story: the second issue with the show, which is a shame as it has some really interesting worldbuilding. The main issue with the story is how all over the place it is. The core of it is that Sera was leading the invasion force into enemy territory for 7 years and is captured. Now she lives with barbarians and is slowly stating to realize that what she thought about them so far is nothing short of a cheap propaganda that was made to make them look bad. Issue here is that they made barbarians "too perfect" if that makes sense. To give some real life example - imagine North Korean soldier being captured and was let to try to live it's new life in the USA. But instead being in modern USA that has various economic, social and other problems that soldier get's to live in some ideal version of greatest country of Earth. Barbarian side here has no faults, except having dangerous creatures occasionally visiting them. While Sera's Kingdom side is like any typical dictatorship where elites get to enjoy life to the fullest while the masses are dying of hunger and the land is slowly dying due to overuse. It's really bizarre, they do not even try to level them in any way. One side is totally good while the other is Saturday morning cartoon villains. And it really hurts the show, as most of it is Sera going around and seeing just how much her life as a captor is better than being a noble in her own Kingdom. One redeeming quality to that is the worldbuilding for other races, they have Elves, Dwarves and Fairies and each of them is a bit different from their fantasy counterparts. And I really like the way they have represented them here in the story, I even like the setup they have made for future plot points. It's a shame that is being dragged down by boring one-sided moral comparison between noble and barbarian east and prideful and corrupted west.
Overall - story has it's interesting bits and some of the lore is amazing, but all if it is being dragged down by how simple the conflict is being done. Making it so boring that is it legit dragging down the entire story.
Overall grade: 8 from me, as I really enjoyed some of the worldbuilding lore. But realistically this anime sits anywhere between 6.5 to 7. Which is a real shame since the premise was interesting and the worldbuilding was even better. But boring characters and even more boring main point of the story (east vs west) really drags it down.
I don't know how to recommend this show because a lot of people would find it very boring pretty fast. I would say if you are interested then better prepare yourself with patience, as this show has some really interesting bits to offer once you get trough the layers of uninteresting romance and gushing over how better life is in the east then you might find some of the worldbuilding rather interesting. If you do not have the patience than this show is an easy skip. Judging from the ending they did finish the story in a way that sequel is expected, but giving how this anime was received I am not so sure we will ever get it. But if we do by some miracle, I will check it out.

Hands down - best romance show this season. Everything in it was so enjoyable, form animation to characters to story. Even if they never make season 2 as it is it is quite good and true gem for romance lovers.
Animation and music: very good. Animation was on the budget but they really make it count with some character movements and cute animations here and there. It really shows that when you focus animation in certain areas you can more than overcome the fact you do not have animation that is on the level of Daemon Slayer or Witch Hat Atelier. Music is also good, the

quiet emotional pieces really make every dramatic situation that much enjoyable. Shame there is no noticeable tracks but what is present is more than enough.
Overall - animation and music may be standard one but the team behind it really knew what it was doing and made it so you do not notice it is of average quality.
Characters: the story really shines here as the maid duo is quite likable and has a great chemistry. Maki starts as a depressing loner who is more interested in staying at home and playing games than trying to make friends. Later we learn that it is because of his personal life situation and how much that has impacted his mental state. Umi on the other hand is likable little gremlin, imagine Himari from "Boy Girl Relationship" but she is not toxic or abusive but teasing and supportive. Uni is a national treasure, charming, cheerful, direct, and above else extremely cute. She is the one that approaches Maki and from that moment on this show is nothing but wholesome emotional romantic drama that changes them and everyone around them for better. Alongside those two we have Amami who is Umi's best friend and your typical cheerful but kind of dumb gyuaru. She is there to make everyone's day much more brighter and when push comes to show she will directly tell you in your face if you are doing bad things. Next we have Nina who is not much present at the start of the show but becomes really supportive later on. She is one of those losing side heroine who never get's luck in love and is a little cold toward MC at the start. But one who understands people and can give them the proper advice when needed. There are other interesting characters beside these main 4 ones, the family members of MC and FMC especially, but just the core 4 makes this show quite enjoyable.
Overall - main characters are fun and adorable and even supporting ones are done justice. Truly this show shines the best when they all interact with each other.
Story: the story is also very good. It focuses mostly on Maki and his life, giving that he is quite the mess at the start of the story. Then as story progresses he is slowly changing and getting stronger as a person. And Umi and her friends are there to support him along the way. I will not lie, this story has some very heavy dramatic moments and it dealt with quite heavy adult themes. But seeing how it is treated and handled by the end is the other thing that makes this anime great. What I will always remember about this anime is and how goo it was is episode 9, those who watched it know what I am talking about. The drama and emotions in that single episode is what this anime is all about and why it is so great watch.
Overall - the story is well written and will make you feel all kind of positive emotions.
Overall grade: 10 from me, I quite enjoy it. Realistically this anime is anywhere between 8 and 9, being dragged down by people's personal preferences and animation on budget. But everything else is more than enough to carry the show. I can safely say that this show is what season 2 of "Angel Next Door" should have been.
Easy recommendation from me, especially if you like romance shows. If they ever make sequel to it one day I will watch it for sure. But even if they do not, what we have is more than enough to be enjoyable.
