Welcome to my Profile! My name is Alan and I am 27 years old. I am half Mexican and half German
I am super introverted and hate any kind of social gatherings. I spend most of my time in my room alone if I am not currently at work. Next to Anime, I also enjoy games such as "The Witcher" or "Detroit Become Human". Though I also play League of Legends among some other things. I began watching Anime in 2020, with "Food Wars" as my very first series. While some might say it might not have been the ideal introduction to anime due to its "special" nature, it will always hold an important place in my heart and mark the starting point of my journey.
I saw a few Anime casually with my ex girlfriend (who introduced me to anime) up to the point when Chainsaw Man released in late 2022. It was then when I truly fell in love with anime and started watching more actively. In 2023 and 2024, I went through a particularly tough period filled with hardships and mental health struggles, which is when my addiction really escalated to its current state. Anime became an escape for me and allowed me to find a new passion which I thoroughly enjoy now. I made it my hobby, rather than something I did with someone else or for someone else.
I am very open to all kinds of genre, though Romance Anime are probably my one guilty pleasure and favorite genre. I also love watching Action, Drama and Fantasy as well though.
I don't read too much, but I do read some Manga and buy them if I really love the series (Like Chainsaw Man). I just enjoy the visual spectacle of an anime much more.
Don't be shy about messaging me ! I am always open to talk about things and accept all friend requests.
PS: You might have noticed that I love writing reviews about Anime and generally have a lot of thoughts regarding them. I tend to note these thoughts down for myself but also write them in a way where if someone is curious they can read it as well.

I see, i may give that show a try, one of the fellas in my class loves to goon to this show apparently. Bro the last show i watched was re-watching golden time, and now i look back at that time as golden... times. Damn i thing i know what i need to do once i fucking drop out of my uni.
Good to know mate, i hope uni treats you well. Man i wont lie i am struggling hard, i messed up my first few months of uni so my attendance is abhorrently low, and i am behind studies. I have great reasons but aint no one affable enough to entertain it they will only jeer, so i am trying hard to climb up this crevice and making things meet. My first sem is this rough i wonder how the rest of this charade is gonna be like.
Anyways i hope by the time we exchange words again i am not having existential dread. Tbf i am having fun which is something i couldnt have said months ago, but maybe hard work and my chaos will pay off. Have a good one brother hope to see you again.
I mean, we're even on the same page when it comes to games. I've already made enough comments about Mushoku to get myself publicly executed, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 "toxic" fans (Yeah, not normal fans) are terrifying, so I'll be on my best behavior for now 😅
So, is there anything you're curious about or want to ask?
It wouldn't be fair if I used up all the questioning rights
No i have not seen The Walking Dead. Never been interested in it.
Omg CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎉 IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!! This is really amazing to hear!! How long is the course? What was the process like to apply? Have you figured out accommodation and etc? When do you start? Sorry for asking so many questions I'm just curious lol.
Niceee!! I'm glad you're enjoying it , yh I do agree the tybw really tops the OG bleac especially with the animation, but for nostalgia oh bleach has my heart cuz it was this show that introduced me to anime. Yhhh true and it's only 10 episodes , I've already watched the first three eps in the cinema, just to see it on the big screen but I haven't continued watching after that, I've been dodging spoilers left and right, the only thing I've heard that ep 5 had the highest rating so I'm assuming something big happened, I can't wait for it to end just to binge it but at the same time I don't want it to end either😭
Thankss, Yeah we did lol
Other than bleach, are there any shows you're currently watch this season?
At first, I avoided those heavily criticized anime, but then I just stopped caring and started watching whatever I felt like. When I started watching Boku no Hero and mentioned I was enjoying it, a friend told me I had terrible taste and that BNHA was awful. When I asked why, he gave me a bunch of random reasons, and then I conclude that he hadn't even watched the show.
That’s when I realized I shouldn't let those kinds of opinions sway me. I went into BNHA with such low expectations that I’m sure it’ll become one of my favorites by the time I finish( it’s been such a good surprise!) So, I’m definitely going to watch Mushoku Tensei. Thanks for that! (It’s really hard to find people who share this point of view 😭).
As for recommendations, It's hard to tell you exactly what I like. Different concepts and genres make me feel different things, and that’s definitely one of the things I love most about the experience. My first anime was Haikyuu, a sports shounen, and I have a really special place in my heart for it, so I’d definitely love more recommendations like that! I’ve watched other sports anime, but I feel like it’s harder to find good recommendations in that genre. A romance or slice-of-life to relax with in my free time would be great too! I’m also open to recommendations for things that are totally different, even outside my comfort zone. The only mystery anime I’ve watched became one of my favorites (by the way, if you haven't seen Link Click, I highly recommend it, it’s absolutely amazing), so I love being surprised!
Seems that you’ve watched a lot of anime, and I really related to your story, since I also started watching because of my ex boyfriend (at least he left me something good :') ).
I’m kind of new to the anime world. I started watching about two years ago, so I feel like I still have so much to see! If you have any recommendations, I’m always open to them!
Ur profile is soo good
It won so many awards, and when people's favorite anime didn't get any, they started spewing extra hate. I hate this attitude because the exact same thing happened with the game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. These kinds of people are just overly stupid and disgusting. It’s completely normal if they don’t like the game or the anime, but them going crazy over the awards thing... anyway, I shouldn't spew any more hate 😅
Solo Leveling does have its weak points too. Its side characters aren't written with care like in Attack on Titan and they lack depth, meaning while watching the anime (or reading its manhwa), no character felt special to me. This is a big downside for me, and its story wasn't top-tier like Attack on Titan either. But despite all that, the power-up concept and its system are so good that I couldn't care less about these flaws. Like you said, the series delivers exactly what it's supposed to deliver. I gave it a 10 as well; the fact that I enjoyed it this much despite its flaws deserves respect. I haven't added it to my favorites just yet because I'll decide when the upcoming seasons release. Everything has just begun, and if they keep going like this and adapt those incredible future arcs well... there's no way it won't make it to my favorites.
(A small moment of silence for Saitama, who didn't need a system to grow stronger and became the strongest in the universe just by doing 100 push-ups everyday)
I agree on the Mushoku Tensei topic as well. That concept of grey characters, grey right-and-wrong, and grey morality that I described at length before... I absolutely love it. The anime takes place in medieval times, and it doesn't even contain one-tenth of the immorality that actually happened in human history during the Middle Ages. Yet people lose their minds while watching the anime, saying it's unacceptable? Dude, modern civilization didn't even exist a few centuries ago, and human history is much longer than just one or two centuries. Plus, if you're getting hung up on absurd things in a fictional series, I'd like to remind you of the dog-girl incident in FMAB, or its other events. Their interpretation of God, etc.—it has so many moral issues. You'd have to wipe FMAB from history then. Anyway...
In Mushoku, watching the main character turn from a scumbag into a proper person is enjoyable. Also, I like anime that handle perverted characters "properly and realistically" because that's a trait relatively present in everyone. It's fine if they don't like it, but people who judge it and criticize it under the guise of "morality" must be prophets sent to Earth by God, otherwise it's just hilarious lol.
In what other anime does a character experience psycho-sexual trauma, stop being a pervert, and become unable to sleep with a girl? The way that perversion fades away and settles down is an interesting narrative. Him starting to transform into a family-man figure is also so comforting. I have so many similar takes on this, but I prefer to say just one sentence to people who lose their minds over morality: I hope your relationship with God is going well in your mountain monastery without internet and electricity. I envy you amazing people who are cleansed of earthly sins lmao.
Dude, I literally just sent a message begging to get canceled 😂
The chapter started the moment you decided to go for it, and now you are starting your classes! I wish yoy all the best. Let me know how everything goes.
Forgive my words, but they were fucking scum. That "good friend" was a piece of shit; you are better off without them. I am very sorry to read that it was something that happened multiple times - if I may say, I hope you didn't feel embarrassed; you should not be the one who feels that way. Trusting others can be quite complex, and it gets harder when they betray you so shamelessly. I hope you are doing better now, and it is nice that you found a silver lining among all of that.
That is a great mindset - and it´s true; if someone arrives, then it is amazing; if it doesn't, then you can be as free as you want. Hahaha, for real, I love having a big bed only for myself - and it is indeed a luxury.
There is no denying that we are adults in our 20s; it has always annoyed me how we are also considered too old. Like, I grew up watching Reality shows, and it always surprised me when, for instance, women aged 23-26 were considered old. There is never an age to stop trying again.
Also, there is never an age to stop studying and learning; there is no shame in going to college later on. The circumstances are different for everyone.
The ceremonial middle finger is even too good for those who judge. It's better to go now than waking up one day with more regrets than desire to live.
Indeed, the dream is currently in progress. You have the plan already written; now it is only a matter of time. Out of curiosity, what would you like to do once you start living in Japan?
You are currently feeling the good part of anxiety, hahaha. You are anxious and excited to start this new project. I am sure it is truly the beginning of a great next chapter.
I am sure you will be quite busy from now on with studies, projects, and assignments, and you won't be visiting this place too frequently. Still, I wish you all the best in your studies; Ganbare hahaha!
Also, are there any anime you’re hyped for next season?
Dammnn, I see, I see. You have quite a lot of tattoos, but at the same time, considering what you told me about them, I understand why now. I think it’s really nice that you can motivate yourself again through something like that. It can help you never forget what matters most, even when you’re going through really difficult times, and I think that’s beautiful.
And as for the anime ones, it’s also really cool to get characters you love tattooed haha. It’s like a permanent reminder of how awesome that character is. If I started doing that, I wouldn’t have any blank skin left, I love way too many characters xD.
But yeah, there’s one thing I’d also really like to know… Doesn’t getting tattooed hurt? Do you actually get wounds after every session?
Right now, I'm curious about your thoughts on anime other than the Reze movie. What do you think about Solo Leveling? Even though it has a lot of haters, it's among your favorites.
